  1. Whether he had a HCP or not it's a reasonable fear because of the way he was acting. Mason would have been in the right had the guy drew on him or come at him. An HCP does not give you an excuse to act aggressive or like a dick.
  2. Saw that earlier. Pretty crazy. That's why I don't ride a bike.
  3. Actually, I thought it was a very good story. It was similar to my one time encounter, except mine was in a Wal-Mart parking lot at 4 am. It's odd to have that flash in your brain that says "This is it, it's going to be now".
  4. I think this is one of the healthiest discussions I've seen in a long time! I think Jackdog hit it on the head when he said you lose a bit of yourself, but I really just believe that my right to live and be with my family and friends far outweighs anything I could feel for someone who wanted to hurt me or my family. I just don't think of them as human. I think the situation would bother me for a bit, but the actual taking of a life I don't think it would.
  5. MUAHAAHAHA! *Inside joke* I thought you broke your hip when you hit the counter that day.
  6. The thing that bothers me most is when a guy brings his wife into the range and comes up and says "Hey my wife needs a gun..." and then when you start trying to help HER he imparts his knowledge that he picked up from Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. Excuse me sir, no offense, but you asked for my help, if you know so much macho man why did you bring her to me? I honestly believe more women are turned off by shooting sports and carry because of idiot macho boyfriends and husbands.

    The Wall

Now that's what I call wallpaper!
  8. Anyone know how the AR mags are? I have a SWAT buddy who uses them and his have ran fine.
  9. I'm trying to think up a funny comment, but all I can think of is this... Scroll down the page and watch the video. Couldn't find it to embed. http://www.cartoonfeed.com/videos/Family_Guy/Peter_locked_Out_Of_The_Car
  10. Yea, but they cost more than you make in a month!
  11. Good pictorial. I still think the easiest way to spot besides a really bad print is messing with the gun. The more you fiddle with it the more attention it gets. Dark colors and patterns are still the best way to avoid printing.
  12. I have one person on my ignore list and I imagine it will only be there until he is banned or beaten to death by a roving mob chanting only his name and holding a torn NO Weapons Allowed sign... That being said I would never ignore someone for having a different opinion. Rabbi and I have definitely had a difference of opinion, but he is a very supportive member of the forum and I enjoy alot of his posts. Everyone can disagree and have different opinions, but I will not suffer a fool. In case I'm not being clear I mean K-wik.
  13. Kwik is nothing more than a troll. He's an idiot and attention seeker. He's probably no more than 16 and gets his kicks by starting trouble on forums. I'm following Rabbi's lead and ignoring him. I hope our moderators will see this moron for what he is and ban him. He has yet to contribute anything but controversy and silly hypotheticals in 420+ posts. I'm done with it.
  14. I'd like a dollar for everytime I've been asked why I carry around the house. I'd take TGO our for pizza and beer.
  15. I've never been a big fan of lasers. I have nothing against them other than alot of people buy them and rely on them right off the bat. Night sights I think are great. I have a set of Meprolights on my Kimber and they are excellent. I like the idea of a glow in the dark sight on a carry gun. Because I have a feeling if I ever need it it's probably gonna be dark.
  16. One thing I have found about myself with my time in the Army, my time as a security officer, and the one time I did nearly have to use my gun in self-defense is that I've never hesitated. I've always just reacted to threat. I'm not a macho guy and I dislike fighting. I've never shot anyone and really hope I never have to. I am pretty sure I know how I would feel after the fact , but no one knows until it happens, but I know I would not hesitate. Nothing terrifies me more than being a victim. I've seen to many people that were to afraid or could not stop what happened to them, or weren't willing to. Myself, I won't lie down and be another statistic. My life is mine to live, my family is mine to protect, and I will send anyone straight to Hell that dare think they can take that away.
  17. Hate to hear that Triple. I have seen some pretty disgusting family quarrels in my time, so i know the feelings I'm sure you have about it.
  18. Just my opinion mind you, but a retention strap will get you killed unless you practice alot with it. It's not necessary on most holsters with a tight leather or kydex fit. Unless you really have to worry about exposing your firearm to someone alot,if you're not in law enforcement you shouldn't, a retention strap only hinders your draw. Especially on an IWB holster.
  19. There's no law I've ever heard of. I think it's just confused with the fact that just about all major trucking lines have regulations about carrying a gun over the road.
  20. I've been carrying everyday for a little over 2 years and I'm the same way. I've found now that I have different guns for different manner of dress, but usually it's the 1911 on the hip with a loose button up. The Kel-Tec hides under anything though.
  21. I'm gonna sue. This thread is misleading! Where are the women of ill repute? For the love of God man point me the way! Just upped my post whore spot by one. Giggity!
  22. A friend of mine at work is a retired Lt. from the Federal bureau of prisons and he carries his gun in a fanny pack sometimes. I'd make fun of him, but he's the one teaching me Aikido and I'm pretty sure he'd snap me in half or dislocate something. That being said, from behind my safety of the internet I shall say they are the worst things ever!
