Captain James T. Kirk for President

Hell he's got my vote. -
Take a look at the Pontiac Sunfire if you're not against a 2 door. Mine gets about 33 MPG highway and high 20's city. It's got enough pep to move you around. Sure you could find a slightly used one if not a new one for around 10-12K

If that happens I can officially say I don't know what would be worse for us.

I can live with that response. When you speak of fights, I may not have fought the same fights you are referring to yet, but being of the generation I am, and being raised the way I was I have fought long and hard to be accepted, and that is way I take offense at remarks about my age. I won't go into a life story here, but let's just say that for 23 years of age I have seen and done quite a bit. I don't think that earns me points or respect by any means, but I'd like to think that my posts could be argued on the basis of that post alone and not how many years I've walked the earth. Agree to disagree. And thank you for the comment about service -

I'll admit that the first part of the post was inflammatory, but if you think I'm the only person on this forum that has ever posted something like that you're mistaken. There are 50 year olds on this forum that have lowered themselves to downright name calling. Also, there is plenty of opinion in my post. I clearly stated my opinion when I said this... You think I have a twisted perspective? Why because I don't agree with what was said or that the majority of this thread has been nothing, but inflammatory posts and has dealt very little with the real issue at hand? As for the last sentence in your reply, well I don't really see how I've acted like a 3rd grader, but to each their own OPINION. -

Most of that wasn't directed at you anyway dariks. Since, we are on the topic though... Lo-gic -noun 2.a particular method of reasoning or argumentation. It's in the eye of the beholder. My logic is very simple, use the form or don't, but to have a 15 page thread war over a simple disagreement of opinion is silly and people could take a second and I stand by the fact that many people are overly paranoid about the transfer of information. I'm not saying I wouldn't be cautious, but sometimes things are taken to an extreme. Whether that is a product of furiously typed replies that fail to reflect the full intent of the poster or their own true beliefs is something I can't diagnose for certain. -

I wouldn't be crabby if I didn't get attacked every time I state MY opinion on a matter and then get blasted for being young. I've said it before and I will say it again, "It's not the years, it's the mileage." I deal with people twice my age day in and day out that don't know jack and couldn't form a free-thinking opinion about waffles, let alone debate constitutional rights. I don't care if I'm agreed with, but until there is an age requirement here, and I'm obeying the rules, I'd at least like to hope my opinion could be debated and not my age. Edit: Removed my age on my profile. Level the playing field a bit. Now maybe we can deal with issues and not birthdays. -

What are you getting at? This entire thread is based on opinions, nothing more. I'm really sorry I don't impress everyone over a certain age on here. I'll try and do better. It's ridiculous, this rhetoric of "Well they're young so their opinions have no weight, they lack experience, blah, blah, blah. With the exception of a few people here, none of you know me or anything about me. If you don't like my opinion that's fine, there will always be differences, but why attack my age, surely if you are older and wiser you can come up with a better argument then, "Oh you're young." -

That's your opinion. I see plenty of chances to fight for my rights in the future, so maybe one day I'll be up to snuff to post my opinions. I will not engage in another lengthy debate about my age, logic, experiences, etc. Canyn, thank you. Said it better than I could have. I agree with that statement. The form in question does not have to be what is used, but firearm info and a name and maybe DOB would be nice. -
He's...watching us. Mr. Anderson, how can you reply when you cannot...speak? *muted*
-
He didn't get banned yet, he got muted though.

I agree with that to a point. I think the movie talkers, people that stay on their cell phones when ordering food or checking out at the store, and people who are just generally loud and have no regard for others should be punished to a degree. However, people that go YAY MIKE! and then shut up at a graduation do not need to be hauled off to jail. That is taking things to an extreme. it's that whole attitude of " Someone got shot? BAN ALL THE GUNS!!!!!" It's foolish.

I just read through 11 pages of this and I can safely say WOW! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! Off the radar? You're joking right? If you bought a used car from an individual you'd want a bill of sale right? That's all that form is. You guys that freak out over giving your information out need to chill. I had this kid, just turned 21, come in wanting to buy a gun. Well he didn't want to fill out half the information on the 4473. I said OK, No gun then. He changed his mind, filled it out, then told me to destroy the form after I ran the check. No can do Skippy. I've done one FTF in my life and that was with a close friend of mine, so I wasn't to worried about it. This is why I like consignment deals, it gets logged in and then back out under a BC. If I was doing an FTF and someone said no to that form, they are going home empty handed. Just my viewpoint on it. This thread kinda reminds me of an old song "They're coming to take me away ho ho ha ha. To the funny farm where life is wonderful all the time!" EDIT: In addition, can't this all be summed up by just saying what you want in advance? If you both agree to the form, awesome. If not, then no hard feelings. -
There's luck, there's the luck o' the Irish, and there is "no way we should have walked away from that", touched by the hand of God luck. Them boys fall under the latter.

My militia consists of my woman and the kids and the dogs and me. -
What was the final outcome on that case? That is definitely why it should be said that there is always a defense, but that doesn't mean you won't be charged or even convicted. Laws can be interpreted, sometimes for the worse.
-
DrBoomBoom, I agree with that statement 100% percent!

Guns taken from citizens in New Orleans
Punisher84 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If only all military, police, and civilian personnel knew the laws to understand when an unlawful order has been given. If a veteran officer in Knoxville can attempt to arrest someone with a permit for open carrying, it's not a stretch that the military would do a gun seizure. The military tells you to question unlawful orders and not follow them, while yelling in your ear that if you don't follow orders you will die or cause a buddy's death. It's not hard for me to believe that national guardsmen would follow an order to confiscate weaponry. They've been doing it in Iraq for 5 years, so it's not going to feel much different here. -
would/do you carry to a doctor appointment
Punisher84 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
LOL. -
Yea, that about sums it up. What it really boils down to is defenses and what you were doing at the time. If you have a permit you cannot be charged with Intent to go armed or any other infraction. Now if you are carrying in a place that is prohibited you are looking at a misdeameanor if you have a permit. The law is weird.

I think that's a good argument. However, I have always been a middle road kind of guy. There are a few things I am staunch on, but I can give and take. The problem with everything is that most people want black and white. NO! You can't search my car or YES! Do whatever you want, you're the police, NO guns at all or YES everyone gets them! We know the truth is somewhere in between. Everyone here wishes they could carry wherever, however, but criminals shouldn't have guns right? So how do we regulate criminals, while still letting law abiding citizens do their thing? That is when the war began lol
