  1. What would you have done? You seem to have a knowledge we don't, so please, enlighten us? Given the information at hand what would you have done? What would constitute suspicious behavior to you? A shotgun pointed out the window?? You also need to get your facts straight. He didn't "chase" anyone. He followed a suspicious vehicle to get a driver description and a tag number. There is a huge difference.
  2. Some people are scared. Plain and simple. I see it every day where people take the permit class simply because they believe carrying a gun empowers them, makes them better, in some way. They don't understand that the steps that lead to not having to carry a gun, do not involve a gun at all. Being vigilant, being prepared, and DOING SOMETHING ABOUT CRIME. Do not have to involve a firearm or permit. What you are coming across is plain and simple. Sheep huddling close enough to the sheepdogs to attempt to be a sheepdog themselves.
  3. Come by one day and try to rip mine off me. You'll see why there's a difference between a combat tested gear bag and the latest thin strap Ed Hardy bag.
  4. I don't care. She can get her welfare check just like everyone else. Come on guys it's the friggin' messiah! We don't have to worry about anything now! Michelle and Barack will bring peace through the land, gold will flow like water, and we'll all hug and dance and...:puke:Oh God I think I just threw up my spleen.
  5. The question is how bad do you want to rib someone with a gun and a few extra mags in that "man-purse"?
  6. Search is your friend, my friend.... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14750
  7. I don't have pics right now, but I have several Max products. They have all worked flawlessly!
  8. You didn't do anything wrong. This is what neighborhood watches do all the time. Suspicious activity needs to be checked on. How do you think those of us that do police work or private security make arrests? It's because we look for things that are out of place or just don't seem right. If I had my choice of neighbor I'd pick the people in this thread that have agreed with you over the people who have questioned your actions. If you had chased her and fired at her car I would have disowned you, but you didn't. You did everything correctly and in a city like Memphis, keeping an eye on these scum as a private citizen is the only way the crime is ever going to slow down. The police can't do it all.
  9. Well just remember you shoot to NEUTRALIZE the threat, if they happen to die from that neutralization well that sucks for them.
  10. Kimber is a good way to go or Springfield. I would stay away from the Smiths. Just my 2 cents.
  11. Boomhower, I like Bkelm's better. It didn't make me puke lol
  12. I'm gonna have mine in by the weekend hopefully.
  13. Db knows what he's doing. If we all just sit back and let the police try and do everything crime will never go away. Fight back and help the cops out. The good street cops appreciate it. Only the administrators hate a citizen with free will and a gun. Fear is more of a killer than anything.
  14. I will very calmly, but passionately disagree. Bush has gotten a bad rap for alot of things that just weren't his fault. Obama is a political baby and nothing more than a celebrity elected to power.
  15. I'll give ya that Bkelm. I've just trained for things FAR beyond normal circumstance in the hopes that I can handle the "average" circumstance should it arise. I've also been fortunate to receive several types of training not normally given to the general public, because of where I work and who I know. That has helped me immensely.
  16. Much less likely of a scenario now, because you could actually counter-sue the attorney for taking the case.
  17. I wasn't. Inside 25 feet with a pistol I can make that shot.
  18. Ehh...kinda sorta. It basically means you could pull them out of your car and hold them for the cops and maybe deck them once or twice to control them. I'm not 100% sure if you just pull the gun, but don't shoot, but pulling a gun would be threatening deadly force... I'm sure Fallguy or someone will chime in.
  19. T-box is what my Scout Sniper buddy calls it. That may or may not be anything more than his term, but it's basically across the brow line and down the nose forming a "T". This is where your softest points are on the front of your skull and also a shot there will pretty much hit the brain stem and drop them without a twitch.
  20. I'm not an Instructor yet, but do work with several and this is a big topic. That video is horrid.
  21. LOL You kids seeing all this plight?! Seriously though the Holiday Inn by my house is really nice. Yea the Mcdonald's got robbed and the dude shot the night manager in the arm or something, but it was an inside job and the manager was the getaway driver's girlfriend. His partner shot his girlfriend lol. It's Memphis. It all sucks, there just degrees of suck.
  22. That is one of the best things I've ever heard.
  23. Shots on scrubs like that are made everyday. Good guys-1 Bad guys-0 There are differences, but I will stand here and tell you this. Under pressure, 25 feet distance, while that jerkoff is yapping I can put a round through his T-Box and drop his ass before he can twitch that knife. So can the majority of snipers, SWAT guys, and any trained shooter who practices to do more than just put 2 rounds COM every month or so when they go to the range and pop off 50 rounds.
