  1. I was referring to the above section. Jackass.
  2. Ukerduker, The class IS mandatory unless you have all your military, LE material. Sorry you feel you got duped, but most trainers sign up 100s of people so I wouldn't feel you were slighted.
  3. KEEP MY WIFE OUT OF THIS THREAD! I can't afford Sig!
  4. NUH UH! You're joking right?
  5. BA DUM CHHHH!
  6. Hmmm... You know that's not a half bad idea. I'm gonna run some of this by some of my local guys and our chief instructor. I've got so many cert cards in my wallet it's ridiculous. I've got one less because we are private/proprietary security where I work, but apparently they are going to send us all through the state course anyway soon. Fine with me, they'll pay for my armed license and I can moonlight for my friend's company. HE HE HE!
  7. Hmm. Interesting. I was always under the impression that it couldn't be carried off-duty. I guess it's because alot of schools require you be a LEO or have an active Security license to take the course. I still won't carry mine off-duty. I have a gun for those times. Good to know though.
  8. There isn't a civilian qualification for an Impact Weapon. They are illegal to carry in TN unless you are on duty Law Enforcement or Security.
  9. Maybe I should clarify. I have been certified and I mean I can carry it to and from work and at work, but I can't tote it around off-duty. It's illegal for civilians to tote around an Impact Weapon in TN.
  10. There is a provision on the 4473 that allows you to purchase as a gift. Also since there is no paperwork required for face-to-face sales in TN, you can basically just think of it that way. A straw purchase is when you buy a firearm for another person who you know could not legally purchase one themselves.
  11. Drove to work in Memphis traffic. Watched a bunch of people wreck. Got to work and got stuck outside all day in the rain. Tired, wet, aggravated, and ready to go home. Don't get off until 930. Did I mention I work really long days sometimes?
  12. You on another one of your neighborhood watch rampages?! Dammit you is not the po-po!
  13. Woke up at 1. Played World of Warcraft and ate junk food. Then I worked out and laid around. LOL my work week starts tomorrow.
  14. DUN DUN DUN!!!
  15. I'm about to go to work until 6! Yay.
  16. Now that, is a Christmas present.
  17. Thanks again everyone.
  18. You know things were going really great there for awhile and aside from this and a few other things we personally are getting along ok, but man there has been so much crap this year. So many of the people here losing their jobs, Misty and Mars, I mean it's just been so terrible for so many people this year. Maybe that's why I feel more free to talk about things here and why some of our discussions are so spirited because in this digital age those of us here have really formed a family of sorts. That at least, is an encouraging thought.
  19. You know that sounds like a hell of a better idea!
  20. Ya know taking that for a second and running with it... Why is it that when it comes to children and pets even the burliest, scruffiest, John Wayne of a guy becomes a lovable ole' oaf? I think that speaks something of our souls. I'm very proud to call you guys my friends. I'm not ashamed to sit here and tell you that my wife and I have cried as we read your responses, Thank you so much.
  21. Thanks Sun that would be great brother. Not a problem. Her name is Shelby.
  22. Oh. I dare.
