Ticketmaster had them for around 50 for the cheap seats. I don't care about being close really I just wanna hear them live.

Personally, I'd keep the 1911 and just save for an 870. If that's not your gig then I'd really want a few hundred bucks plus a shotgun.

I don't know if this helps or hurts, but I saw that Billy Joel and Elton John were coming to Nashville in May and I told my wife I wanted to go. She got excited because she likes Elton John, I'm more of a Joel fan. Anyway, I was like I wonder if anyone else would want to go? Turns out our other couple that we hang with has been wanting to go so we are gonna get tickets. While watching videos I realized most of Billy's stuff came out around the time I was born lol It's cool though dude, at least she wants to go to something you both enjoy and she wants to go with you.

That will never happen man. Leland or Tim would be down on them before somebody could say "Brah!" Joking aside, I'm really surprised he hasn't been shot.

Sweet. That explains why he knows a good bit about guns then. Fine Southern raising!

He was born in Rhode Island, not sure if he ever lived here or not. I picked it up this afternoon for 6 bucks at WalMart. It had the new cover from one of the movie stills on it. Viggo looks rough in it. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1609012224/tt0898367

Now wait, so you're telling me there really aren't alligators in the sewers? Cause I know a guy who was on the bus next to a guy who's cousin dated a guy...

I started reading this today after a friend recommended it some months back. Cormac is the same fellow who wrote No Country for Old Men. In brief it's about a father and son traveling after an unnamed cataclysm destroyed most of the planet. It's been a really great book so far and the movie will be out some time this year starring Viggo Mortenson. The writing is excellent and there is alot of detail that goes into how they survive and what they do to get by. With all the "What would you do" type threads that have been going on I thought some of you might be interested in reading this or checking out the movie when it is released. On the other hand, if you have read it what'd you think?

I laughed so hard the first time I saw that I thought I was going to seize and die. LOL Off topic, but what happened to Cav after that deal with ATF? Is it resolved? I just never heard.

Good choice! Welcome to TGO and welcome back to the fascinating world of firearms.

Alot of angry, hungry illegals? No jobs for them because construction is in the crapper and no one will have money for Taco Bell.

I wonder if he's ever accidentally maced himself while reaching for his industrial size hair spray and getting the two mixed up?

There is alot of truth in that.I know my job isn't going anywhere, but they are trimming the fat. So that means no OT, raises being tight, if you get one at all, etc. We are hoping to buy next summer.

I read an article in one of the gun rags a couple years back that was similar to this. It was talking about the role of citizens and private security in a post-9/11 America. It was pretty good I'll have to see if I can find it. If you want to really get ideas on how to handle this type of event you need to look at Israel. They deal with this sort of thing every day practically.

I apologize as well as I was attempting to add some levity and was being facetious. I'm also well aware what the top of this forum states. I've also spoken with a moderator to make sure things were not stepping to far out of line on MY end only. I also have attempted to move the thread back to it's original topic. I say we should. Everyone has stroked there egos and fluffed their feathers quite long enough.

That's a shame. You know I've been thinking about it seriously and really who still makes everything here? Snap-on does, most gun companies and holster makers, can't really think of many more. Just about everything is made overseas, electronics, parts and materials, etc. So if you put tariffs on overseas companies and funnel THAT money back into our system and American companies agree to either make better products, or at least stand behind them, then you can start stimulating the economy and putting money back into the worker's pockets. The cold reality is if you have money to spend, but you have got to get something reliable that you KNOW will last, you are going to go with whatever company has the best reputation. American companies simply need to make themselves the best choice and not screw their customers and workers over every chance they get.

Well I don't know man. Do you really wanna spar with an $8/hr security guard? I might break out my flashlight or something lol Ok I think somebody should try to put this back on track now, so when are you gonna buy an American car man?!

How does that ride on the bat-belt? Taurus 85 is a good gun. That is one of my favorite summer guns.

Like where exactly? Put on the Tron headsets and duke it out in cyberspace?

Obviously not. I mean really though this a public forum. We are not all going to get along, that's understandable. You take a bunch of guys and put them in a situation where they can say whatever they want without fear of getting their ass kicked and they are going to say what is on their mind. That's a good thing because it does promote healthy discussion. The problem is there are those few who can't really back up what they say with anything intelligent so they attack others, attempt to belittle them, and then try to turn it all back around on the other party. I often find it funny that most of the people that are closer to my age on this forum present themselves with a higher degree of intelligence and decorum than some of the more "seasoned" members. Yet, we are always stupid or misinformed because of our age. Honestly, I think the internet gives you two options. You can talk really big and turn yourself into anything you want to portray yourself as or it can show your true colors.

Yeah me too.
