Level I is a great class. It teaches you alot of basics about draw and fire, shooting and moving, multiple adversaries, etc. It's a great class to get the basic skills, then you can expand that knowledge later with more advanced classes or whatever suits you!

mrnick=Epic Fail Just my 2 cents since I didn't get my questions answered either.

Mrnick, I'll try to explain it like this. Gun owners that think like yourself are the reason our rights are eroding. You see that it doesn't really effect you, so you don't bother. The 2nd Amendment was put into place for one reason only and that is so the government could not take our freedoms away. We, as a country, have let our rights be slowly taken away from us for years and years. It is due to ignorance and arrogance. If you feel you would not be hurt by an AWB you should still contact your legislator and voice your opposition, because whether you want to believe the argument or not, the slippery slope applies here. They banned full-autos, then they banned AWs (it didn't help or stop anything), now they want to do it again. Tell me why they should? Tell me why you think every other law abiding gun owner should be stripped of their right to own a gun just because it looks a certain way? I'll leave you with this. Here in Shelby County we had access to an outdoor range for a very long time, then it was shut down. Hunters didn't voice their opposition or show up to meetings, so now they have nowhere to sight in their hunting rifles. "In America, they came first for the Cigarettes, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a smoker of Cigarettes; And then they came for the Alcohol, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a drinker of Alcohol; And then they came for the Guns, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t an owner of Guns; And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."

Have you ever had to use your weapon you carrY?

Kinda reminds me of Gran Torino. "What's it like...to kill a man?" "You don't want to know." You may have asked the question innocently enough, but I'd wager kwe45919 gave you the most honest answer you'll get here, save for the people who say they have never had to draw/fire their weapon. -
You know to much!!!!

Read through a good bit of that. Really good stuff!!! Thanks for posting.

I hate bugs. I'm absolutely mortified by them. I can deal with crickets and stuff like that, but roaches, spiders, etc will send me into a fit. I damn near caught our back yard on fire with a can of hair spray and a lighter once trying to kill a spider on my patio. Looked kinda like this actually minus the mask and nifty hat...

Word brother. Likewise about our unfortunate geographical proximities.

I think preparing is a good idea and if building a cabin somewhere way out that is self-sufficient and can be a good retreat just for the hell of it is something you enjoy than do it. I've put thought into my preparations and scenarios, but I'm honestly good with what I've done. I'm not stocking up for a war or the end of civilization. The very best a person can do is stock up essentials for a few years, after that you better know how to live off the land and go back to basics if it's really all that bad. I think in all reality you look at 2 realistic scenarios: 1. The Road Scenario-This is the end of life as it ever existed. Nuclear war, an asteroid, comet etc. You cannot prepare for this long term. You will live or die period. 2. The Urban problem scenario- This is a natural disaster, civil war, economic collapse, etc This will not be a permanent scenario. It will last days to a few years at most. You can prepare for this fairly easily. I think my thing is just when do you hit that line ya know? When are you worrying more about what might happen and not what is happening? Not saying you are Astra, just saying that's how I'm starting to feel. Not saying I'm not prepared or watching, but I'm a loner pretty much anyway. I have no kids and all my friends can handle themselves so if the poo hits the spinning blades for more than a few days my thunderstick will get me where I need to go and get me what I need to survive.

LOL baiting the hook?

Nice. I love when officials lay it down like that. Remember that guy that shot the two deputies and the K-9 in Florida? SWAT unloaded on the guy over 100 rounds fired total. The reporter asked him why they fired so many shots and he said something to the effect of "That was all the bullets they had". Made me smile. Here it is... http://www.snopes.com/crime/cops/judd.asp

One man's tin foil is another man's saran wrap. Not sure what that means, but oh well. I like the cargo container idea myself. I don't have land or anything so I'm pretty much out of the loop on a permanent bug-out dwelling. I can't really think of many scenarios where I would need a permanent hidden fortress of solitude or anything. Not knocking the idea, just saying if I need to get out of the metro area I have a place to go. Honestly, the way I feel about it right now is, I want to be prepared to survive, but I'm not going to spend my days and nights worrying about the end of civilization and such. If the zombies come, I got this. If the bombs drop on my head, I won't be able to worry about it. If the quake hits, I'll survive or I won't. If the economy fails, an asteroid hits, whatever there is only so much you can do. I have food, I have ammo, I have knowledge, I have the will to survive, and I am prepared. This is John Connor and if you're listening to this...you are the resistance.

GUILTY! -
I haven't had any issues with my CW9. Off topic, but is it common place for shops to do exchanges or refunds on guns?? I can't name a single shop that refunds or exchanges guns or ammo. It seems like it would be a liability issue possibly.

That is my problem with it. They are hacked off they got called out on such a grand scale so they know if they keep writing inflammatory articles they will stay in the spotlight. They are trying to make anyone with a carry permit look like a criminal or a hot head with an itchy trigger finger. They need to button up their pants, their agenda is showing.
-
LOL Not even a clue man. You could probably make one fairly easy though. Just need a bear skin rug, some wire, plaster and a good sense of creativity.

Last question first. The Spirit and yea I think you can still catch it. It didn't do really well I don't think. Silk Spectre II was friggin hot!!!!!! I really enjoyed Watchmen. I thought it was well done and different. My buddy and I saw it and I said "Hey Winnie Cooper!" He was like what are you talking about and I said "Oh well Strick said this girl looked like...nevermind" lol I actually think I liked it enough for a new...AVATAR!
-
Bout to go see it now Strick lol not sure how i feel about blue winky though.

OOOOO dang son. Beat the man and leave him for dead lol -
You have 3 types of people. The people who will stand up from the beginning. Those who will move themselves to action. Those who will always be followers and never stand for anything, just do what they are told. There is a time in every person's life where they get to find out which one they are. I believe the majority of gun owners fall into category 2 for better or for worse.

I just downloaded the trailer music. Nine inch nails...fighting urge to go shoot machinery...

This is supposed to be set several years before John ever sent Reese back. This is still in the early stages of the war. I'm just digging the post-apocalyptic stuff right now.
