Found this in the comments section... I could barely resist buying a few extra 1000 round boxes. This is the same stuff the high speed low drag operators are using. Buy now while it is still this cheap. You never know what could happen to ammo supplies and prices in this volatile time in the economy and administration. Cheaper Than Dirt always has the best prices. Don't even bother looking around. Boy what a planted comment. It must be good to go.

Or Slasher you could pick what feels right for you as a defensive weapon and not let other people's opinions or bias influence you.

My bad. All my rules have been replaced by NCIS Agent Gibbs' rules for life.

I used to always do my own vehicle maintenance within reason, but now I live in an apartment that is kinda upscale so they pretty much frown if you even have ur hood up for more than 10 minutes lol I take mine to a local place. The guys are always great, they have good prices, and they are quick and efficient. So I don't mind tossing them a few bucks to do it.

How is that helpful? Just because it's bold and in caps?

Yea I gotta agree with her on everything except the racking thing. #4 birdshot from a shotgun inside of 25 feet is not going to be a pleasant experience for the person it is hitting. This is the old argument of... "Oh it's just a .380" "Yea well you stand here and let me shoot you center mass with it." "Oh nevermind man." The racking of a shotgun is a well known sound and it may very well have a psychological effect on an intruder or it may not. The problem is the Hollywood effect or the macho cool like chambering a round before you go fight the bad guys or racking the slide on the shotgun before you storm the house. There is just no realistic reason to do it in a defensive situation. You're announcing your general direction, the fact that you have a gun, etc. If you expect that sound to send criminals fleeing in terror and it doesn't you better be able to start pumping rounds into them immediately after.

Damn he messed her up! It says she's gonna sue, I wonder how that works. "Yes your honor I was engaging in an illegal activity called prostitution when I bit the defendant's tongue and refused to let go. He then beat me like a, excuse the pun your honor, a cheap hooker." Verdict for the plaintiff in the amount of 25 million dollars. So ordered.

I really would love to have been the first cop on that scene lol

The actual LEO that showed up did. The wildlife guy just called it in.

I don't recall the Wildlife guy asking the questions to the OP, he just called it in. I assume he called it in because he thought the guy was committing a crime. Alot of this probably comes from TN's laws allowing citizen's arrests and such. I don't know exactly how it works for jurisdiction and arrest powers, but I know that TN does give citizen's the power to detain if they witness a misdeameanor or felony. I'm guessing that if an officer is out of their jurisdiction they would only be making a citizen's arrest technically.

You know I just randomly thought of something. From a psychological perspective... If one is to frightened to carry their defensive weapon with a round in the chamber for fear of accidental injury, etc would they really have the mental clarity or attitude to use said weapon? It seems that if you are that scared of something I really can't imagine that person being able to shoot another person. If they did I'd be surprised if it didn't destroy them psychologically.

I rarely ever OC, but I have. I do prefer CC, but I don't deep CC because I want the advantage of not being obvious, but I don't want to bury it so deep I can't get to it fast. To me the people that slam people for OC are no better than the likes of some of our resident TGOers that don't think we should have "assault weapons" and other such nonsense. It's a right to BEAR arms. Not a right to conceal arms. We should support each other's interests and rights, even if we don't partake in the act ourselves.

Obviously. You're only supposed to capitalize important things, not self-important things.

Pssssh. Shows what you know. It's MSNBC, FOX, and CNN.

You stay classy San Diego.

I noticed that the other day. To quote Watchmen "Just a matter of time I suppose." RIP Shannon.

I hate to say it man, but it is a text based forum. Venting or not if the OP wants us to read his issue he needs to make it readable.

Seems like a good response to me. It's nice having people you can rely on. As many others have said, alot of that seems to have been lost over the years.

LOL oh so true.

I use it similar to the way Don Johnson always used it on Nash Bridges. "What do you think you're doing bubba?" "I don't think so bubba." etc It's a term of endearment, but yea I hate it when it's used in a negative way.

Best. Answer. Ever. Sarah, best of luck to you and heed BigPoppa's advice about shooting one first. I've seen ladies that will cry after shooting a 12gauge and I've seen tiny ladies blow through 25 rounds and ask for more. Just find what fits you and is comfortable. Most quality HD shotguns can be had for less than 400 dollars.

This kind of thing makes me sick. Big government at it's finest right here. -
There are many like it, but that one is your's!

If it's joint owned then it would probably fall to the driver, but again I don't think to much of a deal would be made if a person had an HCP and another person grabbed their gun to defend them. Imagine if an LEO got shot and you got his gun and shot the Suspect, you aren't going to be charged with possession of a firearm.
