Very nice bro. When we gonna go ride?!

I don't mean to be the one to bust everyone's tactical bubble, but the guy asked how to fix his holster that he likes, not a 2 page thread on how much his holster sucks and his decision making skills are questionable. Calm down folks. I think he'll live to fight another day.

Everything is going up right now. Places are running out of components and the demand for ammo is insane.

I was gonna respond until someone brought up Kwik and I realized I've already said everything I was gonna say before. The truth is people like Justme want to believe that anyone in an authority role is bent on causing them issues. It's really a large psychiatric marker of major mental problems like paranoia. Get a grip man. Just because some cop gave you a ticket once that you didn't think you deserved doesn't mean there is an army of stormtroopers ready to "infringe on your rights". Jesus.

Hypothetical Carry Question
Punisher84 replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
That's pretty much my way of thinking. My job is to protect people during the day and I can do so within the confines of the law surrounding me at my place of business. Once I'm off-duty I'm not playing hero and risking the chance that I go to jail, because I doubt any of the people you "saved" would help pay your legal fees or help take care of your wife and kids while you're away. Sad fact is, people have short memories for heroes. -
See that's what I didn't go to college lol

Hypothetical Carry Question
Punisher84 replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I would like to think you wouldn't be charged, but there's just no way of knowing and as others have pointed before a "Defense to" is simply that, it's just a defense. It doesn't mean it's a get out of jail free card. So you could shoot the guy and be justified and they could not press charges according to that defense 39-17-1322 or they could charge you with murder based on the newer Castle Doctrine law and the evil friendship ending gas fueled debate of the word "NOTWITHSTANDING" lol It really boils down to what that prosecutor feels like doing, but I would hope to God if you were carrying in a school and shot a guy shooting up the place they would either not charge you or at least a jury would acquit you. -

.380 ammo in stock and ready for sale!
Punisher84 replied to BimmerFreak's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
That must be a LEO thing, because I never heard it until I started hanging out with my LEO friends. Funny though. I had a guy looked like Michael Clarke Duncan (way fatter), but had the same type voice pick up a psych patient from us one day and the guy still had a catheter in. Guy goes "You gonna have to get that thing out his ding ding before I can take him." Now picture that in MCD voice. Yessir, it is fair to say I laughed...heartily. -
*pats your back* I know buddy. I hear ya.

Look at it as basic psychology. Think about how many people aged 18-30 still live at home. They have Mom and Dad to take care of them and direct them. They will happily live in less than optimal conditions because someone else is "really" in charge. The Government has become Mom and Dad. There is no personal responsibility for anyone anymore. I am 24 years old and married. We have 2 cars, a motorcycle, a nice apartment in a nice part of town, and still have money to save and have fun with. I wanted to be independent and I made myself achieve that. I worked my ass off to get where I am and am not even a college grad. I even have a GED! *gasp* I work 2 jobs for a total of about 55-60 hours a week, but I do it gladly because I don't want anyone to take care of me. Now it's nice to have safety nets. Unemployment and welfare can be good things, but they have become wheelchairs not safety nets. That, IMO, is what is wrong. People lack personal initiative and responsibility. It's easier to let someone else take care of you, simple as that.

Point was most cops aren't bad guys. You look at anyone in a first responder/civil service job cops, firefighters, paramedics, and even yes, the unpopular security personnel. They get to deal with crappy people all day long. People with bad attitudes, they get to work out in terrible weather, they do it for not nearly enough pay, and then they still get to deal with their own problems in their life. It's easy for people to get on here and bitch about how "they weren't fast enough in the ER", or "that cop tramped on my rights", or "Why didn't the fire department get here quicker?" The fact is though unless you have done that job, seen the **** they do, and lived through it you don't really know what you're talking about. It shouldn't be a free pass and bad cops, or any person who is supposed to help the public, should be fired. I just hate to see people start bashing the cops in a general sense over a story that you are only getting one side of. If you wanna bash somebody go do their job, then tell me how easy it is. I'm sure every LEO on here could sit you down and show you mugshot after mugshot of nice normal looking folks who are rapists, murderers, drug dealers, etc.

I think it's alot easier to get away with talking smack on the internet. If he really did that, that's pretty cool of him. I still think the guy is a complete and utter tool. That is my personal experience with him here. I wish your daughter the best and hope she makes it home safe.

The bill that would have allowed college teachers to carry didn't even make it to past sub-committee. http://www.wmctv.com/global/story.asp?s=10112490 NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A House subcommittee has killed a proposal to allow faculty and staff at public Tennessee colleges to carry handguns on campus. The proposal sponsored by Rep. Stacey Campfield, a Knoxville Republican, died for lack of a second to a motion to consider the bill in the House Criminal Practice Subcommittee on Wednesday. Campfield said his proposal would have allowed colleges to opt out if they publicly guaranteed students' safety. College campuses are currently covered under a general ban on guns on school grounds. Only law enforcement officers or members of the military can come onto a campus armed. The panel also rejected another Campfield proposal to allow retired members of military and ROTC cadets to carry handguns on campus. Read HB0798 and HB0823 at: http://www.capitol.tn.gov
