  1. No surely you're mistaken. Not those purveyors of the code. Those soldiers of the highway law. Those knights of secretarial splendor and glory.
  2. ROFLMAO :bowrofl: That is a gorgeous gun brother.
  3. I don't know where you are getting your information, but all I can tell is you that you are wrong. There is a huge difference between civil law (breaking a contract) and criminal law (breaking a law set forth by the state). What we are all boggling about is that we are simply asking for you to post a link to what you are referring to in the TCA, but you refuse and are being evasive about it so that leads me to believe you are simply going by a personal opinion or something you've been told and don't actually have any evidence what-so-ever to support your claim.
  4. When my wife got her name changed after we got married they confiscated her permit as well and just gave her the yellow paper. Hmmm interesting.
  5. Neat! Good for her.
  6. Yea I could cast my vote behind that assumption lol
  7. I bought some 5.11 compression shirts for wearing under my vest last summer. Dear Lord never again.
  8. Just another one of my need prayers threads, but hopefully you guys and gals won't mind. One of my close friends was in a really bad wreck today. He got hit by a utility truck after he fell asleep at the wheel. He is in critical condition at The Med here in Memphis. He is most likely going to make it, but his skull is crushed and he has a tear in his carotid artery. They haven't even began to assess possible brain damage. His fiance' and I have known each other since middle school and they are like family to me. Their oldest son was the ring bearer at my wedding and they just had another son a little over a month ago. This is really hitting us hard so we could use the thoughts and prayers. Thanks as always guys.
  9. I don't know how to make a joke out of that without offending his g/f as well lol
  10. Flag on the play. 10 posts, no credibility. Penalty, defense gets the ball. I must also add that 5 out of 10 posts (including the first post) from Patty have been inflammatory shall we say? Patty, if you would kindly show us the TCA code you refer too. Please also keep in mind you are on a board with people who work in the firearms training industry, lawyers, police officers, and other individuals who can quote TCA in their sleep. *coughFallguycough*
  11. NEED PICTCHERS!
  12. I'm going on a weekend trip here in May and I'm planning on using my go bag to do alot of things. I want to test the simple skills under optimal conditions, if I can't get a fire started and simple jazz like that with what's in my kit under 70 degrees and sunny I'm gonna re-configure.
  13. Well I think we can all just be happy we aren't Canadian.
  14. IZ DON'T BELIEVES IN GUNS CAUSE THEYZ BE KILLIN MAH TAE TAE! HE JUS A GOODZ BOI WHO NEVAH HURTZ NOBODI BUT DEM BOYZ AT THE CRACKS HOUZESES!
  15. Ggun, I get what you are trying to point out, but you really are confusing the elements of an altercation on the street and an altercation in your home. If someone who does not live at your residence unlawfully and forcibly enters (remember what I said earlier about what using force means) you are automatically presumed to have been in fear of your life. You do not need to prove their intent, that they had a weapon, etc There are documented cases where people have been drunk and forcibly entered a neighbor's home, resulting in a shooting, and the homeowner has not been charged under the castle doctrine. As far as determining who they are and saying "stop or I'll shoot" that is complete hogwash. You should identify your target to make sure it's not a roommate or family member sure, but there is NOTHING in the law stating you have to say anything to an intruder.
  16. You may use it at your leisure good Sir!
  17. Actually with the Castle Doctrine and the way it is written in TN law it explains one must forcibly enter the home and not reside there. If someone turns a knob and opens a door they have used "force" to enter, means they didn't just walk in an open door, and if they do not belong there you are automatically given the assumption by the state that they were there to do you harm. It's good bteague didn't shoot his neighbors, but let's imagine if he had been asleep and this neighbor stumbled into his bedroom. He wakes up, sees a man he doesn't know standing in his doorway. Bang. Justified.
  18. No offense, but I deal with this every day and I think you either got bad information or you are confusing laws. If your company tells you firearms are not allowed on company property and you carry anyway and are caught, you get fired. Not arrested or prosecuted. Breaking a contract is not necessarily a criminal act and I know of no such TCA that states anything about a written agreement and firearms. If you can provide evidence to support your claim I will happily review it.
  19. Yea I get what you're saying and agree completely. I can see someone coming out of the Wal-Mart, a guy asks them for a light and they drop the groceries, yell "CONTACT!", do a barrel roll, and start screaming "I feel threatened" while gripping their Hi-point lol. My point is what you prefaced above about just being near it. I.E if my hinky meter is starting to wobble I'm probably gonna at least make sure my right hand is free and I'm paying more attention to what is going on around me. Mugster you made a good point as well about crews man. Never assume there is just one.
  20. Exactly. It's a psychological thing. Not necessarily going for your gun, but if I was pocket carrying and someone made me feel nervous I'd sure have my hand on the grip out of sight. Watch Cops sometime and let me know where the officer's gun hand is most of the time while talking to an irate suspect. If it ain't on it, it's near it.
  21. You said you was gonna buy me some mashed taters hrrmmm.
  22. Don't feel bad. I hear Ted Nugent's guns have the same problem. Mine are defective too. They just shoot paper.
  23. Damn. Where's that Oh Snap flow chart...
