  1. Thank you sir, you as well. I agree the mansion scene in X2 was true Wolverine. I miss the old X-men animated series so badly. That was a great Saturday morning cartoon.
  2. I gotta say Mike, Glock, and Media are making more valid points. I, honestly, couldn't care less about carrying at the capital. I'm not big on settling for other people to protect me by any means, but there are cases where even police officers can't carry their weapons. I'm as Pro-2A as the next guy, I'm a "clean-bill type" as well, but I just don't see this as a major lobbying issue. Get me restaurant, park, post office, carry, let me own whatever type of firearm I want. Then maybe we can work on this. I wonder out of all the people arguing how many of us have ever even been to the capital and walked near an elected official??
  3. Very true. You did have the history of 300, but the story is fairly simplistic. I'm with you on waiting forever for the Wolverine movie. I feel you on the rage. Hugh Jackman had said he hated what Wolverine had become by the 3rd X-Men movie and wanted to get back to the "berserker rage" that defines the character. I think why he still seemed "tame" in this one was because of the changes he goes through. I think why he is so unstable after Weapon X and the memory loss is because he only starts to remember the really bad things from his life and not knowing where he comes from and the fact that he doesn't fit in made him cold and angry later. There was no need for him to be insane while he was with Silver Fox and so forth. I think it was also used to show the contrast of Victor (who LOVED killing) to James/Logan who is "The best at what I do and what I do ain't nice", but also had basic human emotion.
  4. Didn't even know about it. I'll have to stop in there! I'm with ya Pat I love old surplus stuff.
  5. Yea I had no idea Ggun posted over there. Anyway, Mike forget about it bro. I'd have killed the damn thing too.
  6. I'm about to get P90x here in a couple weeks. I already have the Iron Gym and the Perfect Push-up and have been using those quite a bit. I'm already getting back to the shape I was in after BCT!
  7. Yea I've read about it. Geology has always fascinated me and since my wife is from New Madrid county,MO we have studied up on the 1812 quake, as well as looked into all the theories about a new quake. My point is if you're ON the river, or right by it, you're pretty much screwed. I'm not positive on this, but I also believe that it's been said that the primary concern for soil liquefication is from the west side of 240 over. I.E the Clark Tower area to the river.
  8. LOL now that would make a good motivational poster ROFL!
  9. Excellent letter ma'am. I'm very sorry for your loss, but thank you for sharing your story and welcome to TGO.
  10. That and I really enjoyed the back and forth between him and the old man. "Cover it up with that. Don't want ya giving the old lady a heart attack." LOL Glad I'm not the only one LOL Liev is really an amazing actor. Not that Sabretooth/Victor Creed has a huge dramatic emotional range, but he made me forget it was an actor playing a part and that's what is important.
  11. I followed the Wolverine story and read the "Origins" graphic novel, which most of this was based on, and I still thought it was a good flick. Comic book people and book people have a really hard time letting things go and realizing that there are 2 different mediums. Film and literature. This was a fun, enjoyable movie, period. Enjoy it for what it is. I think they used a Ruger revolver, just for the simplicity of reloading and crafting the adamantium bullet and having something compact that Col. Stryker could carry and use. I think Liev Schreiber stole the movie though. He was alot of fun to watch. The best part to me was the opening credits showing them going through all the wars. " I heard your execution was carried out at 0900 this morning. How'd that go?" "It tickled."
  12. Gonna be here. The city council is probably paying for the news story. God knows the criminals don't want this to be law
  13. This too shall pass. It's news right now. There are about 500 people in the state that are really concerned about this going into law. It's the people who blog and write comments on the Commercial Appeal, Tennessean, etc. Fox 13 isn't even anti-gun they usually do a lot of stories that are pro-gun,pro-self defense. They are just pandering to both sides like the media does. Screw it, it'll go into law, nothing will change like it hasn't in 30 other states, and they'll shut up.
  14. That was pretty good lol I always liked Picard though
  15. I would be shocked if I saw any chain restaurants post. Maybe some family owned businesses might if they were heavily anti-gun, but I'm willing to bet they all understand that money is tight and people are choosy where they eat. Also, there are probably more people who are OK with guns or just don't care, as opposed to these liberal, whiny dingbats here in TN.
  16. I'm with ya dude. I think it's gonna be another piece of Stephen Sommers crap. The first Mummy was great and Van Helsing was OK, just because of Hugh Jackman and the lovely Kate Beckinsale. Seriously, how hard is it to take G.I Joe and turn it into a half way decent movie for the fans and general public? Now we got ninja gymnasts in black leather space suits and the dude from such classic cinema as Step up and Fighting playing Duke? Kill me now. Wolverine, Star Trek, Terminator, and Transformers 2 will dominate this summer. There is a reason G.I Joe is coming out at the end of August.
  17. J/K Congrats! I'm coming up on a year myself.
  18. I was freaked. Married, I have 2 jobs, she has one. I was thinking I was gonna owe 1,600 bucks or something lol
  19. Yea but at least I'm on somewhat solid ground and not a mud pit lol

    Snake!

Spiders are Satan's pet. I hate any and all spiders. Yea I know they kill and eat bugs, but they can do it OUTSIDE and keep their webs above 6'4 inches ground height and we will have no issues.

    Snake!

LOL I've always been in to reptiles and herpetology so they don't bother me to much unless I'm surprised by one. I.E I woke up with one on me LOL I saw that picture and I was like that's the weirdest Copperhead I've...that's a corn snake lol
  23. I guess I'll be pessimistic and say you're sitting on an island on a fault line...
  24. Nice dude!
