A tattoo artist is providing a service and are only an artist in a very limited sense of the world. You are not modeling their ink, you are paying them to place something on you. It may not even be their design. Many people choose tattoos drawn by friends, picked from Flash, etc. I just don't see it ever being something that's a big issue.

OK I thought it might be time for some off topic jolly-goodness again. Was cruising around tonight and this popped in my head. What is your favorite song that just makes you feel cool and puts you in a good mood? You know, that song that you can't help but just feel awesome listening to. The song that made me think of this was Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. That opening riff is just awesome to me.
