Oh man Rock Island Armory are some good 1911s to tweak around though This topic began one of the most heated and angry debates I've ever engaged in on this board, even spawned an inside joke between Bkelm18 and myself. I own 13 firearms, all but 4 are American made. Not one of them is a Smith I drive a Pontiac and the wife drives a Dodge. I ride a Suzuki. I mostly buy American and certainly do like to support good solid American companies, but I am not a blind follower of "buy American" rhetoric. If I like a product, it's dependable, and fits my budget I have no issue buying foreign goods.

LOL ok despite this heated debate that is a funny ass comment. I agree with you as far as U.S citizens go. I just don't agree when it comes to foreign nationals and what I, and I believe most others, believe is the common terrorist we are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. This, however, is my perception based on my time in the military, conversations with my many friends who have served overseas, and my own personal and political views.

I actually believe in God, but what if someone doesn't. How are they granted God given rights? Can they wave them or are they stuck with rights granted to them by someone they don't believe in?

Dammit! OK In a nutshell. Parks- Signed into law. National Forest and State parks good to go NOW. Local parks Sept. 1 unless city/county bans them. Restaurant carry- In effect July 14th unless the restaurant is posted. A few municipalities were trying to use a loophole in the Beer permit issuance to close off restaurants, but their lawyers said it wouldn't trump state law and would be illegal. We are pretty much good to go here. Long guns got signed and is in effect too.

I didn't WANT to be outside, but I didn't have a choice. I'm a weather nut myself, but I know when to say when. The wind was probably 70 miles an hour and the rain was stinging my face and legs.

Pretty bad storm cut through North Memphis today. Here's some of the damage. The pics are blurry because they are from my phone and it was still windy and raining, but the tree limb that I'm standing next to almost landed on me. It destroyed our security gate while I was trying to reset it to let people through. I got out of the way about 5 seconds before it hit the gate and tore it down. Good times! The first pic is a limb that was driven into the ground about 8 inches down.

Sounds like a hairy chupacabra....
