  1. Private Protective Services - Armed Security Officer/Guard Requirements Here's the website for the board over TN Armed Guards...should have the info you're looking for.
  2. Wiley X. I liked them so much I shelled out for a prescription pair
  3. Depends on if you think the whole "no weapons of any kind kind permitted" falls into the whole (ii) Weapons or firearms are prohibited on the property, in the building, or on the portion of the property or building that is posted; thang. Yes I know the statue has a big AND in it, but unless you're name is Bill Clinton, I think trying to argue the meaning of AND in front of a judge is a waste of time. Do as you will....but be aware of the costs of your actions. Is it posted properly...no. Is it posted yes. And I'm one of the ones who don't want to be the test case. I'd rather leave a no guns/no money card and take my business elsewhere.
  4. There is no language requirement any longer. The "guns in bars" bill took that out. If they wanted to charge you for carrying past that sign...they could.
  5. I'm agle to log in and search/post using Tapatalk
  6. yep...easy as pie. I decided against getting sprayed...had to run some service calls after class. 2nd day went SLOW until we got to the range. The first day was actually pretty interesting when it came to the laws/regs. Now all I have to do is get my prints done, submit my paperwork and I'll be a certified mall ninja :-) I'm going back when they schedule a combo day for baton and a basic handcuffing class. I was also invited to take part in their active shooter training in December. Found out that one of the instructors is LE Rifle instructor certified as well...that might come in handy if things in the wishlist pipeline work out.
  7. Call me Alice if you want...just don’t call me late for dinner :-) I’m more concerned with what my dogs think of me than most people I meet. I'm using this to get more certs under my belt and to perhaps grab some part time gigs as a armed private security with a current client of mine. I was hoping for the chance to get baton and handcuff certified, but it doesn’t look like that’s part of the training class.
  8. Talk to the guys upstairs. I believe there are some pre programmed runs that will work your butt off on the range. Target runs out, presents for a second, turns moves, turns, perhaps backwards (no shoot). Get one of them to set something up for you.
  9. ...crap...guess Id better sit in the back of the room and make sure my phone is charged up.
  10. Going to be taking the armed guard class soon and was just wondering what Im in store for. I'm honestly afraid I'm going to be bored
  11. It's good gear. Most all of my ARs are homebuilds on Spikes lowers. Never had any complaints about 'em. I've got 2 more Spikes lowers sitting in the safe waiting for my next bad idea :-)
  12. bass boats with .50s and a bonus for any pirate taken as long as they are within the legal limit. Only difference, don't throw back the small ones.
  13. I've taken several classes both in pistol and carbine, as well as instructor classes. The permit class doens't cover nearly enough for the average citizen to be equipped to actually carry/use a handgun in a defensive situation (my opinion)
  14. If I'm wearing pants, I'm wearing a gun....end of story. Long gone are the days of "good and bad" areas. I don't leave my survival up to chance. I might not ever need to defend myself with a gun, but if that day ever comes I don't want to be without the tools I need to solve the problem.
  15. THEY LIVE!!!!

I tried to take my wife out there last Friday. Never made it out of the car due to the crowds, lack of dinner and the rain. Hope your visit goes better than mine. GO EARLY!!!! We tried around 630 or 7...it was a lost cause
  17. Not always. The much hated Reigons Bank new ATMs will credit your deposits same day until 6pm...drive thru windows cut of f@ 4.
  18. I have a Trijicon reflex sight on my HD rifle. No on/off switch, no batteries, worked VERY well at home defense distances
  19. I saw the repeat story on Ch5 this morning. Talking about their "street teams" going around and " interviewing" the places. Sounds lke another typical liberal sheep tactic. The Mellow Mushroom caved into their pressure and is now going to post. that's the end game of SOBs like this. All they are trying to do is get more places to post.
  20. I'd go for the .45. I have a FNP45 tactical and I love to shoot. It's not acarry gun (Friggin HUGE) but it's soft shooting, 15 rounds of .45 ACP is always nice. Mounted a red dot on it and it's a tack driver
  21. I don't think Greens carries swiss army stuff. I've been in there more times than I can count. I hope the knife shop is still @ Opry Mills when it opens back up...that's the only place I've seen that had a large...ish collection. Dunndw NRA/State certified handgun instructor
  22. yep...just changed the sig line in tapatalk..
  23. I just want to be able to lay hands on one before dropping coin on it.
  24. If nothing else pans out The Car Doctor over in Lakewood is a friend of mine, usually open to barter...depends on his mood. Let me know if you're interested and I'll shoot you his contact information
  25. Where in Nashville can I look for a new Swiss Army knife? Mine is pretty much done for. Sent from my Evo using Tapatalk
