  1. I think open carry is dumb and FAR too often the only people I see open carrying have some sorry, poor excuse for a holster and usually a cheaper handgun to go with it - all which tells me they are probably new, not very trained and/or experienced in actual practice/training. I saw one person at a family event open carrying a LCP, seriously!? Also, it screams "look at me, I have a gun, this means I'm xxxx". Plus if a situation comes up where you need a firearm, they have possibly already given away one their best tools - the element of surprise. If I was a bad guy going to rob or shoot up a place and saw someone open carrying, I'd just off them first then start the mayhem. And another thing, it probably makes anti-gun people more nervous and fearful for no real gain. Better discussion in my opinion, why would someone open carry? I'll give them comfort, but throw a button up or vest over it you got your comfort and concealment.
  2. Comped guns have been around for a long time now but it’s seems comped guns are becoming a new hot-ness for CC again (I know the Roland special is probably coming up on 10 years now). From everything I’ve seen/read - totally my personal perception, it’s just for a maybe 5-10% reduction of recoil to deal with. Do you have freed up funds to shell out for making a switch just for a 5-10% gain in recoil management? it’s a very easy question for me to answer. Juice not worth the squeeze of investing funds, time and ammo to vet a new gun for carry. Not to mention possible reliability issues that may be more prone to pop up. My personal, general thoughts for CC proficiency-from concealment can you repeatedly make a 10yd head shot in 2 seconds or less? can you run a 7YD bill drill clean in around 2 sec? Most people are going to be pretty challenged with those and a comped gun is gonna be very little help, if any for reaching those standards. Sure, the comped gun will help on the bill drill but only in split times - that’s a good way down the rabbit hole on the list of things needed to get that one done It’s all about shot placement anyways. 90%+ of people are far more better off investing in more training/ammo. But that’s not new and shiny. That said, I’m all for people doing whatever they want and makes them happy. Just my $0.02.
  3. Yes, still available. I've responded with private messages to the other posters with no response. If anyone is not able to respond to private messages let me know and we can talk via phone/text. - Matt

  8. Have 3k CCI magnum small rifle primers. Paid about $90/k, looking to get $80/k or trade for small pistol primers. In or around Nashville area, obviously not shipping.
  9. Up for sale, very nice Defiant (formally Tanfoglio) stock master 9mm, with holster & mags/w extensions for USPSA carry optics. Bought from patriot defense, they milled for SRO/RMR and did full DA/SA trigger job. Has about 3-4k rounds through it - fantastic shooter, just not interested in playing with the heavy steel frame anymore. Has all factory parts, 2 sets of grips - P.D. aluminum and loks bogies, 4 mags with extensions, few different hammer springs, GX products vice holster, extra grams spring/follower kits. Have over 2k in gun/milling/trigger job, selling all of it minus the SRO for $1500. IMG_7231.MOV

Like the pistol, just wanting to put the funds towards another project - my loss, your gain. Priced for quick sale - $460, must sign bill of sale and show ID - carry permit preferred. I am out in fairview/bellevue/franklin area but travel all around Nashville. Thx - Matt
  13. Sorry for your friend, unfortunate mistakes made. This reminds me of the good side effects of carrying a gun on my person everyday/where - I 100% purposely avoid putting myself into any chance of getting into altercations.
  14. Randy has inspired me to post. Super shooting with the rifle sir! Don't really do much rifle but my pistol group shooting continues to get better. Successfully starting to put 5 on headbox at 25yd and almost a fantastic group but a stupid flier to right! Also, new M&P shield plus, performance center model with crimson trace garbage dot - really great little gun set up. Going to get another with 507k milled for carry gun. Not too shabby for slimline pistol and 2" dots at 10yd.
  15. I still have my dillion dies on order and will be happy to put them on whenever they show up. Check sites and call around and I'd bet you could find some. Also, could be wrong but I feel like components are seeing a slight trend in the right direction
  16. I got my dillion press/accessories order the Friday after placing order on Saturday morning (website said press was 8-12wks backordered) but only thing that didn't come was die set. Its been just about 4 weeks now, finally just got a set of hornady 9mm dies I'm picking up today - they are out there if you look for them.
  17. Absolutely agree - hats off to those who take the time and effort to not only teach and train others but also invest their own time and resources to continue their training and learning.
  18. Sweet, finally will get a low light class - Hope its is a mild night!
  19. Going as slow and gentle as you can, can you get a click with no movement? That should be your first step. Can't really see well, but on the 2nd press - if you just look at your hands, I think I can see the whole gun move. Might take a video from the side just watching your hands.
  20. 1 armed home owner vs 3 masked, gun toting thugs? GOOD JOB ON THE HOMEOWNER!! Ya, that's why I'm not a put on my gun to run to the store person. If I'm awake and have pants on, I have a gun on - usually just a G43 in a pocket around the house - but still a gun within arms reach.
  21. We all started out that way. Just focus on being safe and you'll be fine.
