Not bad at all. I'm not much on plastic, so I'll just ignore the M&P. Although I do hear they're great guns. That 1911 looks to be the 3" Compact version. Is it or are my old eyes playing tricks on me? I thought the Champions were all 4" models?

Some years back I knew a young lady that worked for Bank of America in records. The things she knew about their dealings with customers were awful, if not illegal. Plus they treated their employees like poop. I'll never do business with them.

I always liked him. Although he often played the bad guy, he could do comedy very well. I remember him as Joe in the old TV series Laredo. And the article reminded me of his role as the strict Russian officer in the original Red Dawn. Yep, he was one of those faces you saw all the time, but didn't seem to get the recognition they deserved. RIP

If you look at the way buns are baked you'll see that they are set in pairs. 8 buns just makes for a nice square package. Adding two more would mess with the packaging and production. So why not just have hot dogs in packages of 8?

A very valid point. Common sense and self control are absolute musts on a bike. The daughter of some very good friends married a nice young man in his 20s. He bought a bike and got stupid. Got to showing off and street racing. It ended up costing him a leg.

I think y'all are missing an important point here. EVERYBODY has a phone. EVERY phone has a camera. EVERY idiot loves to document even the slightest infraction or even imagined infraction against them. DO NOT POSE FOR THE CAMERA!

Its been 30 years since I've owned a motorcycle, so take that into consideration. Depends on what he's planning to do with it. Street, trail or both? Honestly, I don't think there is such a thing as a good street/trail bike. Totally different requirements. If its good for one, it sucks at the other. For a street/road bike for a first timer you don't want too big or expensive. But it needs to be heavy enough and powerful enough to hang with highway traffic. I'd suggest a nice cruiser in the 500-600 CC range. My last bike was a Honda Nighthawk 600. Great on the street yet handled the Interstate very well.

You have my most sincere condolences.

Looks good! I hope you can find some ammo soon. You're gonna love it!

Rickops sent me a message that he can connect me with a guy who has a gun I want. As usual, I'm suppossed to contact a 3rd party by e-mail. I did report him. For those who don't know, never answer any request to e-mail and unknown person. Even if you don't fall for the sale scam, they will sell your e-mail addy and the next thing you know you're getting slammed with all kinds of junk e-mail.

Beware of old masks. While going through a late friend's stuff for his wife, I found several mil-surp gas masks. All were useless due to deteriorated rubber and straps. Some late production mil-surp masks may be good. But be careful of how and how long they may be stored.

Nope, there's a hurricane coming. They need an extra hand.

These things have been around for a few years now. By all accounts they're extremely well made, reliable and accurate. Its the price that keeps holding people back. -
This guy Daniel 12 and his buddy Alex sure have been busy this morning. Just so happens that he has a Police Positive that I'm looking for. And another one bites the dust.

Well if more "No Guns" signs do go up, I don't want to business there anyway. -

I read World War Z years before the movie came out. Great book, terrible movie. As mentioned, the book and movie have very little in common. -

I just finished "Crisis" by Kurt Schlichter. This is the fifth book in his Kelly Turnbull AKA People's Republic series. Once again I have to praise Schlichter for an edge of your seat action thriller. I was captured by the story and breezed through it in just three days. For those unfamiliar with the scenario, these stories take place in the near future. The U.S. has had a Civil War in which its Conservatives vs Liberals. In the end, the country is split into two separate nations, The United States and the new ultra liberal People's Republic. These novels follow the adventures of Spec Ops operator Kelly Turnbull as he deals with special problems in this new world. This latest book "Crisis" is a prequel going back to the days just before the split. The country is on a razor's edge as both States and people are choosing their side. Either Red or Blue. Cities are being taken over and open warfare is erupting between the two sides. At this stage its a very active, but yet undeclared Civil War. The plot revolves around Merrick Crane III. A wealthy, powerful and totally evil leftist who claims to be working to free our nation from oppression. In reality, he's doing everything in his power to bring about a Civil War and set himself up as dictator of his vision of the new America. Turnbull is out to stop him. I've mentioned this series before in this thread. I'm a huge fan these books. They're well written, action packed and full of surprises. But the thing that really grabs you is the fact that its entirely plausible.
