That was my initial thought. But having now learned that recoil is equal to a 9mm, I don't think that plan will play out very well.

Not much to report here in the west end. We got about an inch, maybe 2. It didn't get cold enough and the roads are pretty much clear. Kind of a non-event really.

I hear ya. Having a COPD flair up myself. I ain't moving much for a few days either.

Here they're predicting 4 maybe 6". Experience has taught it'll either be nothing or a foot. Either way, I don't care. I'm well stocked and have no need to go anywhere. I just love looking at the snow. From inside my nice warm house.

Ya know repair estimates in weeks really isn't that bad. I remember back in the 1970s-80s when sending a gun in for factory work was measured in months. Often 6 months or more. Colt was especially notorious about saying "We'll call you when its ready" and that could be a year. Over the years (about 40 I guess) I've had to send guns back to the factory several times for different reasons. Colt, S&W and Ruger were the slowest. Often taking months. Springfield Armory and Walther were the fastest both having my gun repaired and back to me in just 8 days. It is what it is and no amount of worry or complaining is gonna change it.

Once I actually looked at the gun, I realized that its not real. That's a Mattel Tommy Gun toy! Maybe she means to get the bad guys with those killer legs.

.45acp! I do like 'em thicc! But lets not leave the long guns out.

Link don't work.

Kinda cool. But it has that "way out of my budget" look to it.

I've seen a couple of other articles about it here and there on the web. Apparently its the same OAL as the 9mm. Therefore it ain't gonna fit in most of the pocket sized .380 or .32acp platforms. Its also reported that felt recoil is right about the same as a 9mm with similar weight bullets. In other words its gonna be nasty in small pocket sized guns. The ONLY advantage it has over 9mm is that you can get all of two more rounds in the magazine. Yep, this thing is gonna be as popular as the .45 GAP.

Tennessee spent nearly $1B on underperforming schools program

I've been preaching about this for years. School isn't about education anymore. Its about pushing kids through a failed system and turning out good little drones who follow their masters orders without question and believe everything the liberal left has pumped into their poor feeble minds. People who can think for themselves are a danger to the powers that be. -
Could somebody translate that load of gibberish please? What the hell are they trying to say?

Smart guns are a really stupid idea.

I don't see no hammer. And it is marked 30x19. I too think this is some kind of joke.

Nope, the tap will just bottom out. In my career as a mechanic I dealt with lots of broken bolts and screws. Screws that small are a royal PITA. Just the tiniest miss step will ruin the piece. Such jobs take a whole lot time and an ungodly amount of patience. I could probably do it, but I've had many years of practice. An amateur shouldn't even try. Let S&W deal with it. More than likely they won't even try to fix it. Too time consuming. They'll just scrap the slide and put on another. Like I said, see if you can just send in your slide and swap for a new one. That would be the quickest way.

The screw can be removed at home, but don't. No matter how careful you are, there's always the chance you may screw it up. That could void the warranty. best to just be patient and let S&W deal with it. Call S&W and see if you can just swap the slide with them. You send your bad one to them and they send you a new one. Could be a lot faster if they'll agree. In my experience, when S&W says 6-8 weeks, they're being optimistic. I'm thinking more like 3-4 months.

This is an old picture. I've added more since this was taken. 1959 Colt Commander .45acp. My EDC. CMP 1911. 1942 Colt frame with an Ithica slide. 1964 Clark Longslide. Still as accurate today as when it was made.

This ^^^^^^ If you buy used, hire a safe company to move it for you. Well worth the cost.

Nothing really. But it is a bottleneck cartridge so getting more into a similar size magazine won't work. My own pet peeve against the 7.62X25 is that sucker is LOUD!. I just don't care for shooting it.

You may be right. But it will be the public that decides if the 30SC will be successful. Not some internet gun writer with preconceived notions.
