I bought the Mag-Pul version a couple of years ago. I've been happy with it. Now you just need to dress it up a little.

The full length guide rod is a un-necessary part that only complicates field striping of the gun. Changing to a standard guide rod is quick and simple. I've done it several times.

Three years ago Brazil elected a new President. One of his first acts was to greatly loosen the laws regarding private ownership of firearms. To date the homicide rate in that country has dropped 34%. So much for the "more guns, more crime" BS. Story here

I got this in the Guns America e-mail today. Dog the Bounty Hunter expresses the opinion that gun owners should be required to have a mental Health Card issued by a doctor and it should be renewed every two years. Stupid idea, I know. But he's now made this public and some antis may latch on to the idea. Story Here

That may be, but it does pop up in the Recent Topics list from time to time. Maybe if we keep posting, somebody will notice?

C'mon now. Surely there's somebody here will the skills to pull this off. Anybody?

Talk to the future neighbors before you buy. It would be a shame to spend a bunch of money only to have the neighbors call the Sheriff every time you light off a few rounds. Also check County zoning ordinances.

I don't plan to have any work done until I get estimates. What they are will be the deciding factor of if I file a claim.

I do believe that's legendary Texas Ranger Frank Hamer. The man who tracked down and killed Bonnie and Clyde. He was known to be very fond of the Remington Model 8 rifle.

The problem is that there's a small spot right outside my bathroom door where the carpet just stays wet all the time. Not real big, so the pipe is only seeping. I plan to call several companies and get estimates. I'm also aware that this one of those things that you really can't estimate until you get into it. If the cost is too high, I may just turn it over to my insurance and let them figure it out.

Yep, I'm afraid so.

Best Gun Show to attend in the NE TN area
Grayfox54 replied to F250nguns's topic in Events and Gatherings
I believe that will be a RK Show. They pretty much have Tennessee covered. I can't speak for that area, but here in the west end they're generally pretty decent. Especially if your interested in ARs and plastic pistols. They have lots of that stuff. RK does the Jackson show and I always attend that one. I will be going next month. Great American also does some TN shows, but I've never been impressed by them. It seems that gun shows are getting fewer and farther between. What with more restrictions, money being tight, the price of gas and Covid, there just aren't as many shows as there used to be. Its always a crap shoot. Quality depends entirely on which vendors decide to show up. Most times all I buy is a Dr. Pepper. But I still go to all that I can. Sometimes even a blind squirrel finds an acorn. -
Thanks.

That's a Colt M1895 machine gun. Commonly called the "Potato Digger". Its was the first gas operated machine gun and designed by non-other than JMB.

I'm in need of a really good plumber. Honest, dependable and reasonably priced. I think I have a leak in my slab. Any recommendations?

First of all, I'm not nearly organized enough to pull something like this off. Wouldn't even know where to start. However, if somebody here is willing to take the lead, I'd love to have a Memphis /West TN get together and meet all the folks I've been posting with for so long. How 'bout it? Anybody up for the challenge?

You need an entire trailer for one bottle of pills?

I go with the 6 shot .38. All 5 shooters are J-frame (small) sized guns. I have absolutely no desire to fire a .357 out of one of those. But you can always load the .357 with .38+p ammo.
