Losing so many prominent entertainers who I've followed most of my life is making me feel real old.

I'm curious as to if any drugs or large amounts of cash were found on the victim.

This is where I-40 enters Memphis proper. There are several cheap motels located there. Long suspected to be a popular un-loading zone for drugs entering the city and various deals by unscrupulous characters. From the description, my guess is that a planned meet turned into an ambush. I'm really surprised this is still here. IMHO, the S&W Model 18 is the finest .22 caliber revolver ever made. We might be next door to memphis, but my little town has a reputation for having an outstanding Police Dept. The bad guys know this and we're generally pretty quiet. Gonna be interesting to see what happens with a soft on crime County DA. I'm betting it won't be good. Harris is a more or less do nothing County Mayor. He hasn't accomplished much, but OTOH he hasn't messed much up either. As long as he continues down that path, I'm not too concerned about him.

Trump or Desantis? Really? That's all we got to pick from? Frankly, I can't stand either one of them. Once again picking the lesser evil. I really wish a good candidate would run. But who might that be?

I washed my hands of both parties long ago. Both have gone completely off the rails and headed into crazy town. Both have become insane extremists who won't even discuss other options. I am a conservative and nothing more. I usually end up voting Republican simply because its the lesser of two evils. But its still evil. I hate what politics in this country has become.

The lady opened many doors for black women in TV and inspired more than one real female astronaut. A fine actress and a great lady. She leaves a true legacy in her wake.

Not saying I subscribe to it, but there was a conspiracy theory before the 2020 election that Joe would only serve a little over two years and for whatever reason Harris would become President. That way Harris would serve out his term and still be eligible to serve two more full terms. She may not be making much noise as VP, but Harris is a full blown libitard and would be an absolute nightmare as President. BTW: speculation already is that Joe won't run for re-election in 2024 due to age and health.

I dealt with Armadillos years ago in Texas. They do dig, but move slow. Never heard one make any other sound than the digging noises. My guess is a pig. Maybe just a small one that could hide well in the brush.

I went and early voted today. This has become a habit for me as I find it physically uncomfortable to deal with crowds and long lines. The up coming Aug 4th election is both a primary and in many counties a general election. I feel its more important to vote in the primaries than it is to vote in the General Election come fall. Let's face it, in the general election most of us will simply vote for the candidate with a "R" or "D" by their name. By voting in the primary election you have a much better chance of getting a qualified candidate for the general election. I truly believe that the current crop of idiots and clowns in Congress these days is the result of people not voting in primaries. The wrong people end up winning and we suffer for it.

I actually had a co-worker who was about to retire do this to a lot of stuff he worked on in those final days. He thought it was funny. Needless to say, most of us were happy he retired. He never really got along with the rest of us anyway.

If your job is such that you feel the need to carry, it might be time to reconsider your career choices.

I, for one, am hoping Biden gets through this without any problems. Heaven help us if Harris ends up with the job.

99% of the time I carry OWB at about 3:30. Doesn't matter what gun, what size or what holster. I dress according to where I'm going and what I'm doing. I prefer leather holsters. On very rare occasions I might pocket carry something small.

Just saw a story on the evening news about the down side of EVs. One item that caught my attention was they said that the EV owners on average use more electricity charging their car over a week than their entire house uses in the same time. Yep, and we need to cut back out A/C because the power grid is overloaded.

Also bear in mind that in those 15 seconds the BG got off 22 shots killing 3 and wounding 2. Imagine the carnage he could have caused if they had had to wait for police to arrive.
