  1. My hair went gray in my mid 30s. Its a family trait. When my son's were young, I spent 12 years as a Boy Scout Leader. During that time I took an advanced Scoutmaster training course called Wood Badge where I was assigned to the Fox Patrol. It took my fellow scouters all of about 30 seconds to dub me "The Gray Fox". The nickname just sorta stuck.
  2. That's the symbol for Hiltler's Waffen SS. A real bad sign.
  3. Interesting. I could be wrong. I really hope that you're right. But the democrats do believe the migrants will vote for them. That's why they want them here. Especially the ones that flock to blue states.
  4. Information or misinformation? You seem to be suggesting that this story is being manipulated for devious reasons. Please explain for us dummies that ain't gettin' it.
  5. My Dad loved chicken livers and gizzards. I've had 'em, never really been much of a fan. Let's not even discuss beef liver. Can we just get back to normal junk food?
  6. The Democrats want the illegals here. They want open borders and to fast track the road to citizenship. The reason is simple. The vast majority of these people vote Democrat. I have no problem with legal immigration or work visas. The problem is that there are thousands of illegals crossing our borders daily without any papers at all, They're scattering all over the country to take advantage of government programs that they don't pay one cent for. Migrant workers may be a necessary evil in regard to farming and food processing. But what about the thousands of them in New York, Chicago or even Memphis and other large cities? There ain't a whole lot of farm work there.
  7. We ate at Jack Pirtle's quite a bit when I was a kid. It was good. But I think there's only one left in Memphis and its no where close to me. I haven't eaten there in years.
  8. I have worked with a lot of illegals over the years. The city I worked for used a lot of illegals for menial manual labor. They got them through one of those temporary worker agencies. But you ask How can a city (government) hire and use illegals? Simple, the contractor they were hired through absolutely swears they're legal and the City just takes their word for it. The city just plays dumb in order to get cheap labor. I've talked with lots of them over the years. They freely admit to being here illegally. What's more is that most of them have absolutely no desire to become U.S. citizens. The general plan is to work in the U.S. for 10 -15 years. Save their money and go home to mexico or wherever and retire in comfort. Meanwhile they take advantage of everything our government gives them. Their kids go to our schools for free, they get food stamps and health care. But never pay any medical bills that this care might leave. They don't pay taxes. I've been told by them that as many as a dozen of them share the same fake social security number. Simply put, these people come here to make a lot more money than they can at home and use us for all they can get without giving us anything in return. One guy in particular worked with us in the city shop for about 8 years. Nice guy, good worker. We all liked him, but we hated what he represented. He started out as a clean up guy. Just pushing a broom. He finally talked the boss into letting him do simple stuff like oil changes. The guy had a knack for it and over the years, with our teaching, he became a pretty good mechanic. But then he started doing side work at home for his illegal friends. Before long, when he could make more money at home than working for us, he didn't bother to come in. Didn't even bother to call in. BTW: He got caught a deported 3 times while he worked for us. He was usually back in about 3 weeks. Some of you may recall his story from the news. One day the cops were serving a warrant. By mistake, they went to his house when they should have been across the street. He answered the door drunk and had a gun in his hand. Police shot him dead on the spot. His wife ended up with a million dollar+ settlement and went back home to mexico. So don't tell me they're harmless and not to worry. I know better.
  9. This is an Astra Cub. Made for and imported by Colt in the pre-GCA '68 days. Its actually a well made little gun. I had one once many years ago in .22 Short.
  10. Hell, the Guard is there to welcome and help take care of them. They aren't allowed to confront the illegals, so they get to be their keepers.
  11. What I'm hoping for is the session to be called to order, the subject addressed and a huge overwhelming "NOPE!" and everybody goes back home.
  12. I'm thinking that gun is in the hands of a cartel down in Mexico.
  13. Yeah, Wendy's Baconator is pretty good. I'm right fond of Sonic's Super Sonic Bacon Double Cheeseburger. Bacon makes everything better.
  14. The original What-A-Burger from the 60s-70s was famous because they were huge! The thing would take up an entire plate. Plus they were very tasty. Grilled just right. This new version ain't no bigger than any other fast food burger and doesn't taste any better. And the service was slow to boot. I was very disappointed. I won't bother going back.
  15. Ain't that the truth. We had What-A-Burgers in Memphis when I was a kid. I loved 'em! So when they came back just recently, I got all excited. I've eaten at the new one once. I won't be going back.
  16. A woman in Texas went to a local range. First she rented and handgun and shot it. Then she returned to the counter, rented a full auto MP5, walked out the door with it and drove away. https://www.kens5.com/article/news/crime/surveillance-videos-show-woman-stealing-machine-gun-from-shooting-range/273-5d63c2e1-1c87-43cc-b1c2-7e05f8b8a69b She has been arrested. But no word on the sub-machine gun. It seems to be gone. https://news4sanantonio.com/news/local/woman-accused-of-stealing-machine-gun-from-shooting-range-arrested-converse-texas-bexar-county-sheriff-deputies-evidence-jail-charges-handgun#
  17. As I understand it, Garcia never finished Basic Training. He was cut pretty quickly.
  18. Holy Crap! That guy was one sick SOB!. He needed killin'. Wasn't there a fuss a few years ago after some guy shot up a church and it was discovered that he had been dishonorably discharged from the military? Air Force I think it was? Anyway FBI was supposed to be informed and this guy banned from ever buying any guns, but it didn't happen. Has anybody heard where Garcia got his guns? Did he buy them legally and how was he able to?
  19. Has anybody else noticed that there's been very little mention of the victims? Usually by now their names and faces would be all over the news and internet. Yet, other than numbers, so far nothing. I kinda curious as to who this supposed white supremacist was targeting.
  20. I vaguely remember hearing the name before, but I've never seen one. I guess we don't have 'em here in the west end. Is this something new around Nashville?
  21. I have changed my opinion. I though they would let this drop quickly because the shooter was a POC. But now they are claiming he had interests in white supremacist and neo-Nazis. Now this is getting into the realm of a far right wing hate crime. You better believe that liberal MSM is gonna play this for all its worth.
  22. Does seem to be a bit contradictory doesn't it?
  23. This all goes back to the mental illness problem in this country. These people think they are worthless, useless and completely un-noticed. They want to die, but they also want it to be memorable so that everybody knows their name. They want to be noticed so badly that they're willing to die for it.
  24. Quite possible. It being Texas, I guess I just automatically assumed Hispanic. I now realize that was foolish of me. So it may be an act of terrorism. I hope not. But we shall see.
  25. I'm guessing the shooter is probably Latino. In which case MSM will let this quietly go away as he doesn't fit their agenda. I've noticed that there has been no rush to identify him and delve into his personal life. Usually by now, there would be full stories covering his full name and all sorts of sordid details about his life. Anybody remember the guy who shot up the Kroger store in Collierville a year or so back? Probably not. He was a Pacific Islander and didn't fit the agenda. MSM dropped that story real quick.
