  1. From what I understand the system did work. Shooter came in, panic buttons were pushed, SRO got there very quickly and ended it. Problem was the shooter still had time to hurt a lot of people. However, bear in mind that the damage could have been much worse. No matter how prepared you are, life and death are a matter of seconds. For the most part, nobody really knows what's happening until the first shots are fired. Then its too late. We need to be focused on keeping the crazies outside and not get in. Even more we need to heed warnings and stop them before they even think about shooting. We are in a mental health crisis and nobody wants to address it.
  2. I believe the Dad has a very good chance of beating his charges in court. However, the legal fees will bankrupt him. But then, maybe that's the whole idea behind these charges. If your kid gets crazy, you're gonna pay one way or another.
  3. Most parents ain't got a clue about their kids. Sure, they're perfect when around Mom or Dad, but when they're on their own, totally different kid. But this is also perfectly normal. All kids hide things from their parents. Its natural. Think about all the stuff you got away with as a kid that your parents never knew about. Long story I won't get into, but I once saw a 13 year old look a Police Officer dead in the eye and say that if he got into trouble over this, he'd kill the kid who reported him. Repeated that several times and was dead serious. Of course when his mother arrived she said "My baby? No way, you're the liar!"
  4. Your pics didn't work, but I looked it up. Interesting concept. All one unit kinda like a AR drop in trigger. But at $300, I'll pass. I did notice that Nighthawk said that they do NOT use this in their custom guns. Kinda makes you wonder, don't it? https://www.nighthawkcustom.com/drop-in-trigger-system
  5. My Dad had that same coat. He wore it while quail, squirrel or rabbit hunting. I borrowed it from time to time when I went hunting. Its a good practical hunting garment. Sadly, it wore out long ago. I don't even remember what happened to it.
  6. Its always somebody else's fault.
  7. They say he surrendered immediately when LE showed up. 14 year old shooter and no death wish? Curiouser and curiouser. David makes a valid point. Why is it these things always happen around election time or when the democrats need public opinion off them and focused elsewhere? I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it does make you wonder. This kid's story should be very interesting. But I wonder how much reported by MSM is actually going to be true?
  8. "Shooter is in custody". This should get interesting.
  9. I think its high time to reopen those old Mental Institutions. Anybody that crazy needs to be locked up.
  10. If her ramblings help some "expert" somewhere figure out how to stop this from happening again, more power to 'em. But I have no interest at all in reading this stuff. The girl was nuts, period.
  11. He announced he had cancer several months ago and quit doing videos. Still sad to hear he's gone. I watched a lot of his vids over the years. Learned a thing or two.
  12. How much more wrong can this thing get?
  13. I remember him. I also remember the Gidget movies and some of his other roles. I was also a fan of The Time Tunnel. Damn! I'm old! He had a recurring role in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as a 1960s Los Vegas lounge singer who was a hologram. Very interesting character and he was very good in the show.
  14. I did. 32 years ago. Just didn't go far enough. But at the time it was the best I could do. Job, family, etc . No, it ain't simple. I like where I live. Nice town, but Memphis is right next door and I have to deal with it.
  15. Forget that MPD is seriously undermanned and has poor leadership. Forget that the DA is soft on crime. Forget that judges release murderers ROR. The crime in Memphis is all caused by guns. What a bunch of idiots.
  16. I never thought I'd see an ugly 1911. Yet, there it is. The only thing that could make it worse is if it was a 9mm. Please tell me its not.
  17. I fear we may be too late. I've said many times that for at least the last 30 years or more our public schools have been pushing the liberal agenda hard. Just about everybody under 40 is a brainwashed liberal. Real Americans are fast becoming outnumbered. This election may be the tipping point. Vote and pray for America.
  18. I'm surprised its still here. These are truly wonderful pistols and the price is good. I'd buy it, but I already have one.
  19. No, I truly do believe the morons that run Memphis thought they could make their own gun laws. Yes, they really are that stupid.
