Wheel weights have been made of steel or zinc for the last 8-10 years. I think it was an EPA thing. Anyway, real lead weights have gone the way of the Dodo. Very hard to find them any more. I seriously doubt you'd get much at all out of those buckets.

WOW! I'm seeing a ton of speculation, conspiracy theories and just plain rumors here. Anybody got any actual facts other than a bomb went off and this Warner guy is the suspect? Any evidence of motive or even the type of explosive used? This thread is 9 pages and most of it is BS.

ATF worries aside, these days who could afford to feed that thing?

I believe that a PIAT. Its the British version of a bazooka type anti-tank weapon used in WW II.

I asked my son the tech guy who works Geek Squad at Best buy. He's also a huge gamer and built his own computer just for gaming. The i9 is the better processor. However, the question is do you need that much power? The i7 will handle everything currently out there. He sees no real advantage to getting the i9 unless you plan to use the computer for other serious work requiring the extra power.

I'm inclined to go with David on this. Probably an individual with a grudge. I'm also inclined to think this is more about sending a message than actual destruction. The guy had a RV to put his bomb in. He could have made it much bigger and more powerful completely destroying several buildings. You Nashville folks keep us updated. You'll likely get the info first and in more detail than the rest of us.

I've always considered any kind of optic on a lever gun to be pure blasphemy. However, like you, my eyes ain't what they used to be. I've considered the Pearson. No Gunsmithing Forward rail many times. It allows for a scout scope or red dot type mount without interfering with ejection. Just can't get myself to pull the trigger. https://www.mod94scoperail.com/

Got a e-mail ad from CDNN today. They are putting case lots of ammo on Gunbroker. Gotta admit, that's pretty smart. Make maximum profit and the customer sets the price. Nobody cab accuse them of price gouging. Starting bids are $.01. Yet the offered cases of 5.56 & 7.62X51 ball ammo are already up to just over a $1 per round. 9mm115 fMJ & .45acp 230 FMJ ammo are just passing $.80 per round with several hours yet to go. I'll try to remember to check back after the auctions end and see what they end up going for in these crazy times.

I admit that I'm not a very good Christian. But lately I find myself praying a lot for the unfortunate people stricken with this plague. May God help us all.

I think its more about sending a message that the people are fed up with Federal restrictions on our 2nd Amendment rights. I wish them well.

Memphis continues to burn. 6432 active cases. 818 dead. 35 people died over the weekend. Its completely out of hand.

There's little doubt that masks do help slow the spread. The real key is distancing. Just stay the hell away from other people as much as you can. Travel, especially air travel, should be avoided. Yeah, I realize that everybody wants to be with family for Christmas and party for New years. But please, just this one year, don't do it. After all, you want these people to be around next year too. Don't take chances.

Randall, you are correct. The issue with the S&W 41 is the extractor and ejector. High velocity ammo can damage them. The Model 41 was built around CCI standard velocity target ammo. That's all I shoot in mine. However, some people have shot a bunch of the hyper velocity ammo, such as Stingers, through them and actually managed to crack the slide. Its rare, but can happen.

Garufa is dead on. The Ruger should easily handle anything you put in in. However, dedicated competition target pistols such as the mentioned High Standard or a S&W 41 should be left to standard velocity ammo only.

My favorite semi-auto .22 is the Browning Buckmark. Absolutely wonderful pistol and target accurate. It comes in many versions to fit most anybody. You didn't mention your daughter's age. If she's young, the Buckmark, Rugers or other similar guns may be too big for her hands. If you can find one, the S&W Models 34/63 J-frame .22s are ideal for young shooters to start on. Plus they're top quality and very accurate. Start her out shooting SA and then shift to DA when she's ready.

Marugers?

Its the old bait and switch. Tell the customer one price and then charge them much more. That is illegal. Then there's the question of cancelling existing orders just to raise the price on future orders to resell the same stock. If that ain't illegal, it sure aughta be.

What we're seeing now is the result of Thanksgiving. Christmas and New Years are almost upon us. I wouldn't be at all surprised if most of this country, including us, was back in total lock down around mid-January.

Memphis is on fire! Over 6000 active cases, Up 625 from yesterday. Death toll now at 783. 23 people died yesterday. I think this may be a new and very sad record.
