  1. I grew up on folks like Johnny, Merle, Waylon, Willie, Loretta and Tammy. Still love their stuff today. But I gave up on country music somewhere in the 90s. The stuff they make now sounds more like bad pop music. Country music has lost its soul.
  2. Yes. as indicated the Vest Pocket Model came out in 1908. The Colt Junior aka Astra Cub didn't come around until the 1960s. It also has an external hammer making them easy to tell apart. OP has a nice gun there. Somebody should buy it.
  3. I need this out of my way. Make me an offer.
  4. The actual name is Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket. Great little guns.
  5. Everything I like is always at the other end of the state.
  6. All of my Pony's are older guns. I haven't really seen many of the new generation yet. However, I'm very interested in the 3" Viper and if they make the new Anaconda in .45 Colt, I'll absolutely buy one.
  7. Don't expect much in the way of gun rights from Trump. He's not anti-gun, but he's not really on our side either. He has bigger fish to fry before even considering the 2nd. The best we can hope for is stopping any stupid anti-gun laws from passing.
  8. I had a Ruger Blackhawk in .30 carbine for a while. Had to beat the empty cases out of the cylinder and that damned thing was LOUD! Its long gone.
  9. Memphis does need a good slap up side the head. But it was just a resolution, no law was passed. I don't understand why you can sue? Please explain.
  10. Buy when its on sale and in bulk. Ammoseek.com is your friend.

    22 LR

Many a troublesome semi-auto .22 has been repaired by nothing more than a good cleaning.
  12. I go along with the Mossberg/Maverick guns. Not real expensive and completely reliable.
  13. I knew Johnson never had a chance. I don't know why she even tried. Hopefully, now she'll just fade away and shut the hell up.
  14. No, They've already admitted that they won't push it as they know they have no chance. They were just trying to make a point. But city leaders think they can use this to push for more state gun control. Yeah, not hardly. Ain't gonna happen. Memphis thinks they deserve special attention due to the high crime rates and wants the state to bend to their will and bail them out. They absolutely refuse to admit that the Memphis crime problem is their own damned fault. Stuff like this is why the State Legislature doesn't take Memphis seriously. BTW: all 3 referendums passed by 80% or more. Yeah, Memphians are that stupid.
  15. These are great little guns. A miniature 1911 and carried cocked and locked. The locked breech design makes recoil easily manageable and a great SA trigger. I have two of 'em.
  16. JMHO: I don't consider ARs to be battle rifles. ARs are the so-called Assault Rifles. Battle rifles are full size rifles chambered in heavier calibers. Garrands, M1As , FALs and so forth. Of these, I prefer the M1A. Now if you want a better AR, there's plenty of 'em out there.
  17. Some of y'all actually watched the coverage? I watched other stuff, but every couple of hours switched to the local CBS station just long enough to see the latest results. But I couldn't watch for more than a few minutes.
  18. I have a MBT in my M&P-15. Its much better than the stock trigger and was reasonably priced. No its not one of the expensive super triggers, but it works just fine for me.
  19. Garufa hit it. After WW II many British Service Revolvers were returned to the U.S. and had their chambers reamed out to .38 Special. Another way to tell is by barrel length. British revolvers usually had 5" barrels. The U.S. guns were 4". U.S. guns were generally marked "property of United States" or sometimes just "Property of U.S. on the top strap. British guns often had a whole array of proof marks on them. Be aware that .38 Specials will work in these guns, but depending on how good the reamer was, they can swell badly and sometimes split. Pictures would help.
  20. its on my street, but the next block over. I only noticed because it was dark and they have the entire yard lit up. So I guess (hope) there isn't much chance of the contamination spreading any time too soon.
