  1. Taxes are something else you might want to consider. A lot of pretty places out there turn into a lot of work and in winter can be hard to get in and out of.
  2. Call Springer Precision about this and ask to talk to a tech about it. These guys know all the in's and out's of XD's
  3. This really has dookey dripping off of it. I guess over around MTSU it's believed that if you say something enough times it becomes true. The truth is guns are obsolete when it comes to killing and universal background checks will not stop the headlines that nobody wants to see. Band aids don't work on gun shot wounds and laws have no effect on people who decide they are going to take away life before losing their own.
  4. "The MTSU poll is actually a full fledged public polling effort. It's not just MTSU students or alumni. The Political Science Department doesn't run it, the Journalism Department does." Whoever it still has dookey dripping off of it
  5. Buy a Faxon barrel and seek help from someone who can torque and headspace it for you.
  6. In a short action bolt gun the 6.5/284 would work well in a 24inch barrel. The 260 would allow 5 in the mag and would be the way for high volume shooting because the brass is easy to produce from .308. If you are set on a 6.5x55 look for a commercial Husky in a 1900 action. They are really slick
  7. You will need a 08 importer for this. Its a slow process and not exactly cheap. I doubt if the family thing means much from one country to another
  8. Everything is always good until you ask someone to do their job. There is always going to be the were not budgeted for that backstop, not to mention the million reasons between yes and no lip service. It's been my observation that doing nothing has become quite popular as it's nearly impossible to make a mistake. Has anyone else noticed that the large Bills that pass have so many different issues that no sane person could say yes to all of it.
  9. That explains why your barrel looked thicker. Being a 9mm 1911 your options are considerably fewer. Hopefully RIA is on this and has a solution.
  10. Omega is on to something, My old Colt would not feed them either but I tried a Tripp CobraMag with a dished out follower and it would work with hollow points. Never tried any flat nose stuff. From your photo's your ramp could be the issue.
  11. My entire life I have heard that a Norwegian is in fact a Swede with their brains knocked out
  12. A disconnect or sub panel will work? Bigun is right about your feed. (Temporary's have been known to last a long time)
  13. Someone should have shown their Mother about birth control.
  14. The only way caffeine keeps me awake is if I have to get up and go to the bath room
  15. He was certainly elevating enough for aircraft. Somali style youtube
  16. My thoughts and prayers go with your wife and family
  17. I really don't care which way the cylinders roll or if it's 5 or 6 shot. Colt Pocket revolvers have a narrow hammer and cylinder latch that I never cared for. The trooper I had was a very good shooter but at the end of the day I would put my 686 no dash in the top drawer.
  18. It should not be a crime to have a handgun whether it is concealed or not. Liberty is being defeated by these so called people control laws. Permits imho are a blessing with a fee attached. I'm quite blessed already and will not be seeking any additional ones.
  19. I have always had a jug of 231, AA#5, and 2400 sitting on the bench.
  20. You need to hook up with TMCA. I try to go every year but it seems like all I do anymore is work and go to the doctor. Save up your money and something nice will show up.
  21. I started out with a kinetic RCBS puller and if your just pulling down a few rounds they are OK. For pulling down a large quantity of anything my cam lock Hornaday is the trick. Those collets for the kinetic ones don't last very good. I'm not sure if the rubber band causes it or the collets themselves wear out.
  22. I heard one for the first time two nights ago in Hendersonville. Seen one come through about 5 years ago. I'm very protective of my little dog and I'm a fair shot with a .22 rifle. Think I'll get my old single barrel full choke 12 gauge and put it by the back door with some # 2's.
  23. The gut shot probably took a piece of his backbone out. Game over
