Recommendation for gunsmith Nashville
Sunfish replied to Bradski's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
The guy at Guns and Leather does good work. He is well liked in the 45 community. -
I would walk just about anywhere with mine full of Federal HST and I also like the Federal 185 HI-SHOK JHP. I get them at SG ammo

Bump stocks are good at making a lot of noise and ammo disappear but I don't think there is one thing evil or sinister about them. The trouble with surrendering things as a bargaining tool will eventually lead to the anti's having all the cards. We are slowly being assimilated to the tune of one to many amazing coincidences. The timing is way to good for this to be totally random acts

I turn on my vibratory tumbler with the lid on and hold my finger over the mouth and rest it on there lightly so it can bounce a little and it only takes a couple seconds to shake it down.

I have never understood why they are so concerned with the rate of fire anyway. I also wonder what it would have been like if the 1935 firearms act had never came along. Wow a MAC 10 or Thompson in every pick-up truck. This along with free Ninja Kawasaki's and all the wine you could drink would definitely improve the quality of life for the survivors

I have worked with .308 and tried a bunch of different powder and bullet combinations for battle rifles like your FAL. I never had a lot of success with BL-C2. I always go back to either 4895 or AA2520. Try the CCI#34 primers and lighten up on your crimp a bit or try not crimping at all. Anything that has a inertia firing pin needs a hard faced primer to (help) prevent slam fires. The world of compressed loads is a strange one. Sometimes it actually lowers the pressure and other times there is no change. Loading for military auto's often require small base dies. Good luck

It's funny how people that need help never get it. I suppose it would be much easier to help someone who didn't need it. Just bop them on the head and yell HEAL like old Ernest did and then pass the plate around

Ammo sales are up -
I can see where if you were not very handy that you would get away from JMB's masterpiece. Once you learn how to Dr. them its very hard to put them out of the line up.

Sadly it will continue. Half baked idiots are the problem. We cant supervise and medicate them all.

There is a company in Indpls, Ind called Duplicarver that made some good equipment. I'm sure there are others

These are made at Suhl. Fit and finish are as good as they get.

Just what exactly is the ATF and DEA responsible for? If someone committed an unlawful act and tried to blame it on them see how far they get. That's the whole problem with the Government is they are in charge but they are not responsible for anything. See how that works for you in the private sector. What a man does with money that he works for and pays taxes on is his business period.

There is a lot of truth in what DS is saying. The part where the G keeps Chinese Arms and ammunition out trying to hurt them economically is a joke that is not funny. You can shove something down the throat of an unarmed subject much easier than a free man that is armed. Anything that the Government has to offer with the exception of lip service was taken from us to begin with.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and years of tomorrows. I pass through Gallatin everyday but have been kind of sick with this coffing mess that's going around. But will help anyway that I can

I hate it when they lick the windows

It is a deteriorating situation. As far as the Russian Steelcase goes they will either produce it somewhere else or don't and say they did. I'm surprised that China has not found a way to get in the Game. They have been out of it for quite a while. The metals market is bottomed out. I think the sanctions are going to be short lived because the wind blows several directions but mostly round and round like the wheels on the bus

Trailboss for plinker load 45/70?
Sunfish replied to 221 Fireball's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
You could use 45 Colt data for 300gr. lead. That trail boss is a fairly fluffy powder and should be OK. I think for plinking I would give some of the regulars a try like 18 gr. 2400. Be careful -
Smoked on my green egg (pork roast)

A nice meal and quiet afternoon along with a undisturbed nap.

Dried grease in the bolt I suspect. It may need to be disassembled, cleaned and lubed again.
