  1. Could you make the guards from Aluminum ?
  2. Rowland velocities are pretty fast for lead without a gas check. The pressure will as stated be lower. #5 with the heavy data would be where I would start. If you get leading you will know its not a good combination
  3. E-mail these folks they have the best parts and no telling how many they have done. www.springerprecision.com
  4. None that I have found. Its not mill finish it's polished. It has brown paper between the sheets and is 4 x 10
  5. I stumbled across a 3x4x .5 sheet of green G10 and wondered what some of the uses for it were. I figured you guys that make knifes would be the ones to ask. I also turned up some .25 aluminum plate that's pretty nice and large. If anyone has any good ideas I would love to hear them. Sunfish
  6. I wouldn't hesitate to call the oral Surgeon and tell him what's happening. They could call you in something or re check you.
  7. Muzzle brakes are loud by nature and not always fun to clean.
  8. A 35 Whelen is not cheap to shoot if you don't load. The factory offerings are kind of limited to about three or four. I load mine with 225 Sierra bullets and AA 2700. You might consider getting someone to ream a 8mm Mauser to 8-06 if your wanting a bolt action. The 8-06, the 338-06, the 35 Whelen and the 9.3x 62 are pretty close in power. The only one I do not have is the 338-06 because in the past 338 bullet selection was poor. The rifle I hunt with the most is a VZ-24 in 8-06. If there is something I can't put on the ground with a 200 gr. Speer hot core I have never encountered it. I will also say after about 6 shots the 35 and the 9.3 quit being fun especially the 9.3 with 286gr. stuff. If your wanting a factory rifle a 550 CZ in 9.3x62 is affordable and Privi and S&B make decent rounds for them.
  9. Mine is built on a 98 Mauser. They are flexible to load for like a 30-06. Unlike a 35 Remington or .358 Winchester which in my opinion are woods cartridges the 35 Whelen is a open country gun. Mine is fairly heavy and has a long LOP making it more comfortable to shoot than the single shots floating around.
  10. The difference between me and a Nymphomaniac is I can be satisfied
  11. With older pieces of Walnut it's not a good thing to be too dry. It's easily split and on certain collector stuff you could take a huge hit on it.
  12. Whatever you shoot with that much pressure had better be rock solid and fairly heavy. The word light could mean smaller than ? also high pressure rounds are hard on throats and headspace.
  13. Sounds like she is using the way she is running her mouth. I'd be limiting my contact with her because it sounds to me like the fuse is already lit and could go off anytime.
  14. The spring and the firing pin is contained with a roll pin. Its your handgun but I would talk to Smith & Wesson for a possible return if I had a ideas about carrying it for protection
  15. It's very hard to be responsible in a world full of bad examples. Mostly people are looking for others to change when all they have to do is look in the mirror and change themselves. We live in the finest country in the world and nothing has ever been fair. It never will be. Walk the walk and dam the talk. Sunfish
  16. 158 Gr. Round nose lead will just about blow their head off.
  17. I have a set of gauges. I will let you borrow/use if you can wait until the weekend. PM me
  18. If this doesn't work out I have one a 20 inch PSA came in.
  19. The media can't influence the people who don't listen to it or participate in it. You can also trust that when our guns are all gone these college educated gainfully employed anti's are not going to like it when the fascist's dictators show up with a whole new set of rules for them. At best they are near sighted and were not paying any attention in History class.
  20. The liberal mindset is if you say something enough it will become reality. Some of them grow out of it or wake up in mid life others continue to exist in a fantasy land where everything is free and there are no consequences. Never give an idiot a audience and stop supporting what they care about. Right now they have momentum but soon enough they will realize no one cares what they think. They don't believe it anyway. Attention seeking behavior has never been very popular in the foot to mouth world
  21. Part of this looks like a trap to me. The left has surely anticipated our every move and if the media shows up they will label us and take everything said and done out of context and it's likely to be victory for them at our expense. If you could figure how to get some accurate air time and printed word out there it would go a long way. The first thing the left does is involve the media and pass out literature. The NRA better be lining up a media campaign on steroids with some of the millions and get the ILA off their ass and on the move
  22. Reactive legislation at it's finest. Paddock and Cruz were both ill in different ways. Paddock was probably Bi Polar and Cruz is clearly Autistic. Paddock had a pretty good run on life but refused treatment which would have been a small inconvenience that amounted to taking a medication. Cruz on the other hand had an issue combined with being dealt a bad hand in the blood family department that was never going away. Banning bump stocks will not help frustrated angry and overwhelmed people ever. Life is a lot like a checking account. If you don't put much in you won't get much out. Sunfish
  23. It's Not. Look who is sponsoring it and where he is from. The Land of Taxes
  24. Yes, I know them well. Everything hauled to Nashville now comes out of Louisville, KY.
  25. When Kroger moved their operations from Nashville to Louisville, KY and the people that worked there for many years lost their seniority and their jobs I was pretty much done with them. They wouldn't have stopped selling those magazines if there was any money in it.
