Just when you think you heard it all. A 3-year-old boy shot his father and pregnant mother inside a New Mexico motel room, police said Sunday. Both parents are recovering. The Albuquerque Police Department said in a statement that it appears the toddler managed to take a handgun out of his mother's purse and fire one shot in the America's Best Value Inn on Saturday afternoon. The bullet hit the father in the buttock, exited the man's hip and then struck the toddler's mother in the shoulder, according to police. The mother, who is eight months pregnant, is hospitalized in stable condition and the father has been treated and released, police added. Justin Reynolds said he and his girlfriend, Monique Villescas, were getting ready to order pizza when he heard a gun go off. "The next minute I realized my girlfriend was bleeding," he told NBC News station KOB. "Then I sat down and realized I was shot too." Reynolds said he immediately called 911 and grabbed towels to try to stop Villescas' bleeding. "I just took action right away," he told KOB. "I was more worried about my girlfriend than myself and anything else that was going on. And my son because I didn't know if he had shot himself or not. He was shocked and crying. It was traumatizing." Reynolds added that he was grateful his Villescas' two-year-old daughter - who had been sitting her to her mother at the time - was not injured. The Albuquerque Police Department said both children have been placed on a 48-hour hold. The case will be forwarded to the district attorney's office and the parents could face negligence charges, the force added

I was blown away when I read the shot he made at 2,100 yards. That is 6,300 feet ....over a mile and a quarter. I use to shoot woodshucks with my 22-250 at 3 and 4 hundred yards and thought I was Sgt York. I wonder if he tells in his book if he used hand loads or ready made.

“I used a .338 on my last deployment. I would have used it more if I’d had it” -Chris Kyle Being a highly trained Navy SEAL, Chris Kyle had used many weapons over the course of his military career. There were two rifles Kyle liked to use, one of which he used to make the record-setting long distance shot. A lot of Kyle’s marksmanship was done while using the Remington 700 Long Action chambered to fire a .300 Winchester Magnum round. This is a very common hunting rifle that can be purchased for less than $500 from Cabelas. But of course Kyle’s rifle had several expensive modifications. In his autobiography, Kyle mentions his love of Nightforce scopes for the quality of the optics and its durability in harsh conditions. He also reduced the trigger pull weight to 2 pounds, stating he liked to be surprised when the gun went off, he didn’t want to jerk the gun when pulling the trigger. “I used a 2 pound trigger on my rifles. That’s a fairly light pull. I want the trigger to surprise me every time; I don’t want to jerk the gun as I fire.” The .300 Winchester Magnum round is one of the most popular rounds used by American hunters. It is extremely effective at ranges around 1,000 yards, and a skilled operator can easily hit a target at the maximum effective range of 1,210 yards. The round is effective against elk, moose, and even brown bear. In his book, Kyle spoke of the round, saying, “I used the .300 Win Mag for most of my kills. It’s an excellent all-around cartridge, whose performance allows for superb accuracy as well as stopping power. It shoots like a laser. Anything from 1,000 yards and out, you’re just plain nailing it.” During his later tours, Kyle was given a McMillan TAC-338 rifle. This is a far more advanced and expensive weapon system than the average hunter would shoot an elk with, costing north of $5,000. This superior rifle fires a much larger round, the .338 Lapua Magnum. “I used a .338 on my last deployment. I would have used it more if I’d had it,” said Kyle, “The bullet shoots farther and flatter than a .50 caliber, weighs less, costs less, and will do just about as much damage. They are awesome weapons.” Kyle made his record-setting shot with this .338 round. It has a maximum effective range of 1,910 yards, which makes Kyle’s 2,100-yard shot even more impressive. Depending on the weight and shape of the bullet used, a .338 has about 25 percent more energy than a .300 Winchester Magnum.

Don't be surprised if Taurus brings out a 9mm
-
I would like to make a prediction for the coming months and or year.! I am going out on a limb and say that the new Taurus Curve .380 will be selling off the shelf's this year. I know its ugly and has been getting negative reviews but I have a feeling the ladies will take to this gun. There are a couple features I myself like. It is a locked-breech pistol and not a blowback design, it is easy for almost anyone to manipulate including those with dexterity or strength issues. The necessary recoil spring weight of locked-breech pistols is generally far lighter than that of a blowback firearm. I am a senior who has arthritis in my hands and this would benefit with racking the gun. I also like the laser, led light and the removable belt clip. To be honest I may purchase one myself

This is a hard time in your life and I hope you have someone close family or friends you can lean to in such a sad time. Prayers I do best....not good at other things. I was raised in a Christain family and it does help to have support in this part of your life. I would hope you know of someone in the church who you could talk and be at your Fathers side.

Take a look at this paragraph. Can you read what it says? All the letters have been jumbled (mixed). Only the first and last letter of ecah word is in the right place: I cnduo't bvleiee taht I culod aulaclty uesdtannrd waht I was rdnaieg. Unisg the icndeblire pweor of the hmuan mnid, aocdcrnig to rseecrah at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mttaer in waht oderr the lterets in a wrod are, the olny irpoamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rhgit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whoutit a pboerlm. Tihs is bucseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey ltteer by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Aaznmig, huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghhuot slelinpg was ipmorantt! See if yuor fdreins can raed tihs too. Here we go! I couldn't believe that I could actually understand what I was reading. Using the incredible power of the human mind, according to research at Cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. The rest can be total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. Amazing, huh? Yeah and I always thought spelling was important! See if your friends can read this too.

Pit Bull's are not to blame for their attacks...owners read !!
Ron_TN replied to Ron_TN's topic in General Chat
doesn't that boy look cute with all those stitches in his face and ear missing.........all those children dead from a dog....and you think its all a hoax .....I am making it all up ...tell it to the family's of the victims -
Whats the matter you can't stand to look at the victims .....of Pitt Bull ........these are facts.....a breed that killed 147 people last year 2014.....and disfigured another couple hundred. you have six...mmmmmmm.....the truth hurts. That NEEDS to be told to someone looking for a dog for there grandson........You cant look at the videos....it might prove something. If one attacks one of my family they better have a ton of money
-
I dont dislike Pitt Bulls......I dislike what they can do. Its NOT the dogs fauilt they are bred that way. I seen first hand how they can KILL...and disfigure. Every story you read about when they kill or injure some one is......the owner says oh my he never bit anyone before! Pitt owners try and hide the fact that they are a very dangerous and unpredictable animal. I owned one...never again! They are a ticking time bomb .....someday somewhere something will ignite him and its all over. They may go for years without a problem. Here is what I "HATE" this could be your son. read this story http://www.inquisitr.com/1725273/pit-bull-attack-10-year-old-faces-years-of-reconstructive-surgery/
