Hello!! Gun law dummy here <<<<. Could or would the NRA intervene on a matter such as this if given the facts? -

Posted by a friend and so true.............I stand behind you in line at the store with a smile on my face...and a gun under my shirt and you are none the wiser, yet you are safer for having me next to you. I won't shoot you. My gun won't pull it's own trigger. It is securely holstered with the trigger covered. It can't just go off. However, rest assured that if a lunatic walks into the grocery store and pulls out a rifle, I will draw my pistol and protect myself and my family and therefore protect you and your family. I may get shot before I can pull the trigger...but, I won't die in a helpless blubbering heap on the floor begging for my life or my child's life. No, if I die it will be in a pile of spent shell casings. I won't be that victim. I choose not to be. As for you, I don't ask you to carry a gun. If you are not comfortable, then please don't. But I would like to keep my right to choose to not be a helpless victim. There is evil in the world and if evil has a gun, I want one too.

One common criticism of billionaire businessman and presidential candidate Donald Trump is that he far too often speaks in vague generalities and rarely offers specifics about where he stands on the issues. That is no longer the case, at least regarding his stance on gun rights and the Second Amendment, as Trump just released his official policy position on his campaign website. “The Second Amendment to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed upon. Period,” the position paper began.

Yesterday, Governor Haslam announced that he will allow Senate Bill 2376 to become law without his signature. SB 2376, sponsored by Senator Mike Bell and Representative Andy Holt, passed in the Senate with a 28-5 vote and in the House with a 69-24 vote. This important self-defense legislation will permit full-time employees of state public colleges or universities to carry a handgun while on property owned, operated, or used by the employing college or university if the employee has a valid Tennessee handgun carry permit. Senate Bill 2376 will go into effect on July 1, 2016. Thank you to those NRA members and Second Amendment supporters that contacted their lawmakers and urged them to support this legislation. Your continued contact with the legislators and the Governor was imperative to the success of this legislation and your NRA-ILA's efforts to promote and defend your Second Amendment rights in Tennessee.

Had a lady hit me in the rear while stopped at a red light.....LOL.....bet you'll never guess what she was doing while driving. First and only accident I've ever had. "Slow down and smell the roses"
