totally in agreement with you on this one. Love the worn look and lucky to have kept an open mind to exploring sig, glock, kimber, etc.

I think you just answered my question "is it worth it?". I'll walk..thanks guys.

No, I'm sorry. this was a duty weapon. It says Tennessee State Trooper on the side of it. It was a live duty weapon. They are getting new one's, but they are allowed to purchase them upon retirement. These must be pretty rare, I've been looking on line and can't find much about it. I did see one on gun broker from sept 11 that said starting bid $350..but just had that it was sold. This may have been pulled due to local sale though and sold for more than the $350.00 starting price. I have not seen this gun in person yet.

I have someone that will sell me theirs. It is just getting retired. $650.00 Is it worth it for collecting at this price. I was told by a co worker they are going for 900 or so. It does have the emblem on it for patrol but was curious for opinions on the purchase.Thank you in advance for your response.

Wow, that was very good info. I have pics and will attempt to post some (i find that hard to do on this site). Is does have the checkered wood and really hope it to be the deluxe model. I know when I post pics someone will know exactly what I have.

I bought a pre 64 winchester that is in excellent shape for $950.00. What is the average range of value? I looked up the serial number and it puts the rifle in 1956. The only flaw that I can see is one very small nic in the stock. My buddy at work bought a home and this rifle was in the closet (surprise) and his wife told him NO guns. I looked on gunbroker and saw a few for 1,200 to 1,400.........and told him 950 would be fair (i guessed). I fugured it would be good to sit in my safe for a few decades.

Easy choice for me. XDM is my choice. Based on firing and fit. Both are great guns.

Thank you so much for taking the time for the review. This kind of info and pics are hard to come by.

that was funny right there...........I don't care who you are......!!!!!

Let's try this approach..........it sounds like a fantantic shop to cover the shipping and take such great care of you. I would LOVE to visit this shop and buy a lot of guns. Where should I go?
-
lot of funny people on here!

I second that motion. I have a CW45 and would be more than happy to buy yours as well. I would really like to know where you bought it as well. Please tell so I know where to NOT go.
