Prepper Expo This Weekend Sevierville
tennessee01tacoma replied to Oh Shoot's topic in Survival and Preparedness
O but imagine all the characters you'll see. I do believe in having an emergency plan and supplies for most events but I'm not over the top like some. I probably should do more and slowly I will. I was gonna go but I'm going camping instead. -
Look ma, no hands!

I took scotch brite to my barrel just where the chamber shows it just makes it look consistent some people even polish the barrel.

As of right now I have a trauma kit on my BOB and a basic first aid kit in the bathroom and in my storage building I have a plastic tote about half full of gauze and bandages sterile water for rinsing wounds and a bunch of other random medical stuff thanks to my father in-law who was a home health nurse. I hope to expand with some suture kits syringes and some over the counter medications as well as fish antibiotics.

Open Carry Without a Permit
tennessee01tacoma replied to ezrydr's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I totally agree, even though I prefer to carry concealed I wish this bill would pass. -

Possibly. Honestly I haven't thought about that. I conceal carry 99% of the time its my preferred method but I support this bill because it strengthens the 2nd in Tennessee. -

You have hit on my only concern but honestly its their right just as much as my right to carry and if its all possible I'll take myself and my money elsewhere. With that being said if a business if going to post then they better do it correctly. -

Agreed Ted. I think the people who will benefit from this is the people who would like to carry a handgun when they go hunting or camping but don't carry on a regular basis and can't justify the class and permit. But beyond that I wish we could get to constitutional carry, I understand the concern of the public but if you look at the states that have permit less open carry the crime rates are lower in several cases. -
Sure if you have the money then ceramic is great especially if you depend on it daily but for the majority of us a plate carrier is gonna stay in a vehicle or closet and get more shelf time than actual wear. Ceramic plates can and do crack and become compromised steel doesn't.

Just shared to my wifes Facebook she is one of those people who refuse to poo in public unless its absolutely the last resort. -
One place to look at for a plate carrier is Grey ghost gear, I want one of there minimalist plate carriers.

$50 for 10 minutes and $500 to crush a car. It would be fun but prices are a little steep.

I found it online, I wanna go look at one but that's a sweet looking bag.

Which Walmart have you seen these at? My local Walmart has some tactical field line packs but nothing like this one. To the OP nice kit!

We lost our American Bulldog, Sarge, just before Christmas we had him since day one literally. My in-laws had his mom and since day one she let us play with her pups and hold them. He was on awesome dog and we miss him sorely.

My 870 was a plain jane wood stock 26" express that the previous owner had done a pine needle camo job to. I ordered speedfeed stocks scattergun technologies 6rd side saddle, 2rd mag extension, and big head safety. I stripped the old paint and put on a coat of kylon camo od green. I kept the 26" barrel because I still use this shotgun for hunting. I purchased an 18" barrel from a member here. I plan on adding a xs big dot and then I will be done. -
Steel Guide Rods... Have you ever broken a plastic one???
tennessee01tacoma replied to a topic in Handguns
My Sig pro sp2022 has a plastic guide rod, I've read online and some people do swap them out with stainless ones but I've not heard of any failures. One downside of the metal guide rods is they add weight to the gun and because of the type of spring in the Sig pro its noisy. -
