  1.   The banning of anything will never keep it out of the hands of those who want it.
  2. It was a mini Uzi with what looked like a wire stock. Again as others have said age isn't the issue in my opinion its lack of experience and guidance that are the problems.
  3. Never shot an Uzi but I know the Uzi has a higher fire rate and the sten had a shoulder stock and is heavier.
  4. The first gun I ever shot holding it completely on my own is my Mossberg 500 .410 I was 5-6 y.o. and I still have it. The first time I shot something full auto I was about 12 it was one of the ww2 9mm machine gun that the magazine loads in the side. I knew the firearms safety rules very well and got a little instruction on the specific firearm and then they turned me loose. I shot several short bursts then held it for the last 5-6 rounds in the magazine. I will always remember that day.
  5. Hottest day of the year and I'm at a wedding. I've been here since 2:30 and it starts at 6:30, my wife is in the wedding and doing hair and make-up for the girls. I'm sitting here in my shirt tie and pants trying not to melt.
  6. I'm not a big drinker but my brother and I had 4 drinks at honky tonk central were $24 but they were all poured tall. At wild horse saloon we got 2 drinks for 14 but they were all iced down
  7. Thanks for the suggestions. My brother and I went to honky tonk central and wild horse saloon Saturday night. Sunday we went to the mall and ate at Jacks BBQ downtown before we left to come home.
  8. Glad everyone is OK. I have a somewhat similar story that happened this past week also. I was coming home from work just after 10pm and I had just started my hour long commute home when my wife calls panicking. She says she heard someone knock not loud but quietly almost as to see if anyone was home so she locks herself in the bedroom and calls me. She is upset so I calm her enough to start asking questions. Are the outside doors locked? Yes. OK good the only way for them to get to you is through 2 locked doors. So now can you hear anything like someone on the porch? No, but I swear I heard someone knock. So I say, Ok, the shotgun is in the closet its loaded all you have to do is disengage the safety and pull the trigger. You remember the button right beside the trigger is the safety. I get home and no signs of anything thankfully but now my wife is more aware and prepared if this happens again.
  9. The hot chicken has me intrigued even though I'm not a huge hot food fanatic. My brother said something about going to the soundroom tomorrow night he has been wanting to go I want to hear some live music so any other suggestions for live music?
  10. I'll be in Nashville Saturday and Sunday is there anything going on this weekend I should check out? My wife has plans with her co workers Saturday night so I'm gonna hang with my brother but Sunday we will be looking for place to go see and a place to eat.
  11. My feelings exactly. In the state of Tennessee it is a crime to commit a crime wearing body armor but not illegal for someone to purchase and wear if they want. My problem with congress banning body armor is that themselves and of course their secret service will be exempt and that alone makes this unconstitutional. Rudimentary body armor can be made with ceramic tiles and truck bed liner. Not to mention metal plates, anyone heard of ar500 armor?
  12. Do you not think by being a member of this forum or any other firearms related forum that they don't already have your ip address?
  13. H.R. 5344 would ban citizens from owning body armor follow the link to sign the petition and share with others. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/stop-hr-5344-banning-responsible-law-abiding-citizens-owning-body-armor/GNrBKFrF?utm_source=H.R.+5344&utm_campaign=H.R.+5344&utm_medium=email
  14. I updated my previous post with a picture
  15. I bought a tent at Kmart this spring it says 2-3 person. I say 2 plus gear. It was only 30 bucks and I am extremely pleased with it. If you only camp a couple times a year I would say this tent is more than adequate. It is a simple design quick to set up and easy pack up, which to me is as important as other features. http://m.kmart.com/northwest-territory-sierra-dome-tent-blue/p-089W005734934001P
  16. Amen brother. I don't mind if the lemon is on the rim of the glass or setting on top of the ice, I just remove it.
  17. You see there is history behind southern sweet tea. Before sodas, the sweet drink of choice was tea(in the south), and the more wealthy you were the sweeter you made your tea in order to show your wealth to your guests. Now the real head scratcher is when people put lemon in their extra sweet tea.
  18. 10-4 the more I read and hear about these plate carriers the better it gets.
  19. I love instructor zero videos.
  20. That is also the plan. Also I plan on implementing the plate carrier as well as my B.O.B. in my fitness routine. Once I get the plates I figure it will be almost 50lbs of extra weight to carry around. I already take my bug out bag that weighs 20 pounds on a 4 mile hike and I cover that in 2 hours.
  21. Been wanting a plate carrier for a while. Honestly I'll probably never "need" to use it since I'm not military or police but I want one as much for the ability to carry mags and gear as the ability to have armor. The carrier and mag pouch are condor. I like them especially for the price but one day I would eventually like to piece together a nicer one from Grey Ghost Gear. Plates to come in the next couple of weeks
  22. Last night we had no accidents and less than 30 minutes of crying he's finally getting the idea.
  23. Had a long night last night, we are crate training him. We put him in at 12 he slept till about 4, we took him out to do his business put him back in and he cried for a minute then quiet till about 6 my wife got up with him I had to be at work at 8 so she let me sleep a little longer. Overall not too bad for a 6 week old.
  24. Not sure of the breed mix, we got him yesterday from a friend of my wife's coworker.
  25. Either what you did or go to an ffl as tricky Nicky stated those are the only 2 safe legal options in your situation.
