I thought it was a good movie I'm looking forward to buying it on dvd. I'm not a big reader but if the books are like the movie I think I could get into them.

For me its my Remington 870 18" barrel, loaded with buckshot, and some slugs in the speedfeed stock. I can maneuver it in the cab of my truck.

Any of you guys familiar with detail shop capabilities?

I'll chime in as I have done this before also. Take a hair dryer to the emblem get them hot to the touch and pull or use plastic pry tools to remove. For larger emblems still use a hair dryer but you will need fishing line like 20lb test. After heating the emblem pull the fishing line under the emblem and work back and forth almost like a pocket saw. eventually you will have it loose enough to just pull off. There will still be adhesive left over. I'll second the 3m eraser wheel, they work like a charm. also a little goo gone or other clear coat safe adhesive remover will work with some elbow grease. -
Lol reminds me of my dogs, I probably have the only retrieving American bulldog you've ever seen. And my lab knows she can wait for him to bring it to the edge of the water.

Time to beat the dead horse some more.
tennessee01tacoma replied to Tobashadow's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I had a badge similar to the shield design when I was on the local volunteer fire department they were issued as part of a dress uniform but some of the guys couldn't leave it at that, a couple had the wallet badge holder, some had the necklace holder, mine stayed in the drawer with my pins and name plate. Moral of the story, badges make simple minded folks feel important. -
I think that would be awesome.

I wear a Molon Labe bracelet and I have been questioned about it and I know if someone has to ask what it means then they are either neutral or anti-2a. I explained it to one guy back in January and he said he only believed people shouldn't be allowed to own assault weapons, I said sir that's where you and I disagree I've never been in any trouble with the police with the exception of a couple speeding tickets there is no reason I shouldn't be allowed to own any firearms I would want. I doubt it did any good but atleast he left after meeting me knowing where I stand. I think part of the problem is that the public thinks that the only people that own assault weapons are the gangsters or thugs or crazy militant types, not the responsible gun owners that this site represents.

What's your impression of this shirt?
tennessee01tacoma replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
I love it but I think certain people would think it was too extremist. If I had one I'd probably be careful where I wore it, not that I care if someone disagrees with me but I don't like to draw attention to myself. -
Okay I started a new thread for everyone to post pictures of their BOB's and GHB's. If it takes off then we will see about getting it stickied, if it doesn't then we can let it ride.

Ya I have grandparents in Maryland, and have been to Pennsylvania and New York. No such thing as Sweet Tea or biscuits and gravy 2 things I've been raised on, I do enjoy the seafood when we goto visit, and also there's a place that has Coney Island style chili dogs and I love them, I stop there every time I visit my grandparents.

No sugar? Can't have tea unless its SWEET and I'm not one of the weirdos who order sweet tea then squeeze a lemon in it then sweeten more.

x2 I was given a trial tube before Christmas and started using it on my sig, so I ordered a kit and have froglubed almost all my guns now even my bolt action rifles, I love the stuff, after 2 applications clean up is much easier, and the actions are noticeably smoother, I heard that coal creek armory is going to start carrying it, thats where I got the trial tube.

Good to know as I'm new to freeze dried food, but how many calories are we talking? I'm more interested in calories than servings.
-
I haven't yet I'm thinking 3 mountain house freeze dried entrees and various protein and granola bars, I tend to agree with the school of thought that I want food to easily eat on the go, only "cooking" 1 time per day. I'll try it out this spring, and another reason, I'm going freeze dried over mre, is that my ghb lives in my truck, I can't take it inside work, and I've heard the heat drastically shortens shelf life and also because freeze dried meals are more readily available.

I've seriously been thinking about it for about 2 weeks, should we start one then try to get it stickied? Or contact a mod first?
-
I'm thinking we should get a sticky going for everyone to post a picture of their bug out bag or get home bags, and a list of contents, and maybe pack weight, keep it to one post per person just go back and edit.

I have come to discover its a never ending process, I replace stuff with "better" stuff and change it around weekly.

In my ghb I have a bic lighter, a three ferro rods, matches in water proof container, mag block, and finally the last ditch road flare. Plus dryer lint and Vaseline.
