I couldn't agree more...

Anything can be defeated with the proper tools, skill, and time. Really doesn't matter what it is.
-
I don't know about police cars of today, but in the 90's the shotgun was in a locked steel carrier that you'd be pretty busy trying to open before the cop came back to the car.
-
Dude, I'm not going to do your research for you - particularly from 30+ years ago. You believe what you want to believe no matter how wrong you are.
-
Perhaps you lack situational awareness - hence your inability accept that you may be wrong? A why would I confront Ken or Karen? Should I care what they think? I don't think so.
-
Hate to break it to you but the uniform itself tells someone that you are open carrying and makes you target - hence being trained the way I was trained. They come in, see the cop, and open up on him/her first...If you can't accept that then that's your problem. Perhaps you don't have domestic terrorists in BFE Tennessee, or you have an overly strict definition of the term, but we've had several incidences of domestic terrorists in middle Tennessee. They've sprayed-up a Waffle House that my daughter almost entered right before the shooting, and a church. Perhaps you are oblivious to the ones that happened in states around you like Virginia too.

That's why this 6'4" 330lbs fat guy bought a really good shoulder holster. I complain about belt buckles digging into my belly too.

I can pretty much assure you that I'd notice. Some habits just don't die over the years since I was a LEO. You would also probably not notice me noticing you, but I tend to scan everyone and if I see an OC I'm reading their body language too.
-
Sorry, but as a LEO in the 90's I can attest that there have been enough times that a robber came into a restaurant or store while a uniformed police officer was there that they taught us to always sit were we could see who was coming through the doors, and not sit with our backs to the doors. Drug addicts and the desperate aren't the best at planning their robberies. Now days you also have to take into account domestic and foreign terrorists that are wanting to make a statement by killing as many people as they can. They would start with the threat to their plan which would be the OC'ers.

When I was in the Marine Corps, one of my duties was the base color guard. We had to do local veteran funerals that were typically in Palm Springs. One of those funerals was when it was around 120 degrees. During the grave-site service, the cemetery decided that it was time to water the grass all around us and thus shooting up the humidity way up high. By the time the service was over our uniforms were so soaked that the only dry spot was the very tips of the breast pocket flaps on our Creaton shirts. I've never had that happen before. When I was stationed to Okinawa we dressed more appropriately for the heat and humidity.

I was pretty pissed at how the KC defense was playing until the 4th qtr when they made a great stop and the offense gained the lead. Even better when they got the interception that totally screwed Cleveland.

The good news is that my disabled daughter, (1st daughter), was released from the hospital yesterday evening with an oxygen tank to cart around. They gave her a 30' hose so that she could pretty much go into most rooms without the tank. The bad news is that 7 of the 8 people in my household have COVID. My youngest granddaughter became symptomatic on Friday, and my 2nd daughter on Saturday. I think my wife is a little miffed that I got the Moderna vaccine where she and my 2nd daughter got the J&J. They are now lamenting that they should have gotten the Moderna vaccine. I feel very fortunate that we've had no deaths from this disease in my family.

There are several constants in the world, and it seems that the Titans sucking is one of them.

Not always because they are so small. I feel more of an irritation than a sting.

Huh?

They are the ones that build mounds and put the eggs at the top of the mound for the warmth. I step on the mounds to crush the eggs and then dump fire ant killer granules on the mound so they take it to the queen. In southern California the fire ants are much bigger, and their bite lives up to their name. I took particular pleasure of taking carb cleaner and a lighter to them as they charged out of their hole to attack the intruder. They experienced death by napalm. On another note, my exterminator told me that the reason fire ants are hard to kill is because they have multiple queens who travel underground to start new colonies.

Which one? You can bet she's got it coming and going.

Then you're one lucky SOB, because I'll never be able to retire thanks the the 2009 economy and our poor planning in not anticipating it.
-
Sorry, Greg, but you have no idea what he's done.

The people that you are referring to are called criminals. You have to give informed consent, and without that it's called assault.

I didn't care to find out.

My disabled daughter that is in the hospital with COVID is getting better. They have taken her off of the oxygen mask and put her on the regular oxygen cannula. They have a "step plan" for getting her out of the hospital. My grandsons appear to be getting better although their damned doctor just prescribed medicine for them today. On another note, my wife, who had the J&J vaccine, is officially COVID positive. There's no way to tell if she's one of the 28% that the vaccine didn't work for or just part of the 7% of break-out cases. She has told me that she's scared since she has several co-morbidities. We are now hoping that the claim from J&J that the shot will at least make her symptoms only minor to moderate is accurate. Her doctor has her going in for some therapy on TUESDAY. So out of my household of 8, 5 have, or had, COVID. The un-vaccinated 13-year old granddaughter has shown no signs of it although she mostly stays upstairs or wears a mask while downstairs. My other daughter, who has terrible lungs and is also vaccinated with the J&J vaccine, doesn't have it either, but she's wearing a mask religiously. Then there's me that got the Moderna shots when the VA offered them to me and is now hoping that I'm not one of the 5% that the vaccine doesn't work on.

St. Thomas in Murfreesboro is refusing it for my disabled daughter claiming that it is not on their approved protocol.
