I thought it was a great commercial and glad that it didn't appear to virtue-signal anything. Glad to see a commercial where there's no men kissing each other.

I hope they are using beehive shells.

Losing weight is pretty hard, mentally. Losing weight is pretty simple, physically: <= 20g of carbs per day is losing weight. > 20g of carbs you're gaining weight. I have a problem with the first one. I eat like crap because crappy food is prevalent in my household.

I couldn't agree more.

You absolutely did NOT know that until you saw the video, but thanks for judging.

I wasn't referring to you.

Exactly. I also get tired of people accusing others of racism without any facts to substantiate their claims.

Prosecutor would have been accurate since they are the ones who decide whether to prosecute a case to begin with. I do not pretend to know the facts of the police response other than the first officer on scene saying that Aubrey was obviously dead when he got there. That means, (without any other witnesses), that the cop got only the one side of the story. Unless there's physical evidence to indicate otherwise the prosecutor only has one side with which to make a prosecutorial decision based on local laws and precedents that I'm confident neither of us are aware of. Then there's forensics that could easily backup the shooter's claim such as, Aubrey's fingerprints on the shotgun validating the claim that Aubrey tried to disarm the shooter, and powder burns around the wounds that would demonstrate how close the shooter was to Aubrey. May I remind you that the police, (and apparently the prosecutor), only knew of the other side of the story after seeing the video once the suspect's lawyer released it to the public. When I saw it I got pissed, (almost as much as I did seeing what Chauvin did), and if I were the responding officer and saw that video at the scene there would have been 3 suspects in custody in patrol cars. I get tired of people without evidence throwing the police under the bus every time something happens that they don't like. EDIT: I would also like to point out that I have gone into hundreds of houses under construction without the direct consent of the contractors/owners and have never been accused to burglary. The majority of contractors that I have known love it because it's free advertising for them. I would certainly become hostile if bubba, (be he black or white), chased me down and accused me while pointing a shotgun at my chest. But I'd also know better than to escalate the situation.

Since you have a copious amount law enforcement experience and know the details of what the cops knew, why don't you regale us with what you would have done differently.

Christmas has been for the kids and now grandkids for me. All it takes is being given a completely thoughtless gift as a young adult to ruin Christmas for me. For the record it was a piece of 1/4" 440c stainless steel given to me by my ex-brother-in-law when my family drew names to prevent such things.

Unfortunately, there Isn't enough time allotted for that. To me, the difference between high school and college were night and day. I didn't realize how much I didn't know going into college.

Most people do self-qualify. "My life my suck but look how much that guy's life sucks! I'm way better off!"

The whole country doesn't like MS right now, so you'd be going from bad to worse.

I didn't mention Santa once in my Toys-For-Tots challenge thread so why bring it up here? Children do not rationalize like you do, and parents feel that pressure regardless of their religious or social beliefs.

https://www.toysfortots.org/donate/ While I was awaiting my discharge back in 1986, I worked the Toys For Tots drive at the local Marine Reserve Station in Kansas City. Although no charity is perfect, I have witnessed the relief on parent's faces when they were able to get their kids a toy for Christmas. To this day the thought of that sight makes me emotional. For this reason this has been a charity to which my wife and I regularly give. This is the first that I've ever issued a "challenge" as I truly believe that giving to charity is a secret between you and God, so forgive me if I'm doing it wrong. I challenge everyone here to give, if they can, so that underprivileged children get something for Christmas. At the site above you can give money or even select specific toys to donate. You will REALLY give joy to people you don't know this Christmas if you do.

I use a topical pain lotion compounded by a pharmacy in Smyrna. The lotion contains Ketamine, Lidocaine, and Pentocaine. The plus side is that since it is topical then the drugs do not get into your blood system like oral medications; however, you can still overdose if you try hard enough. You must first search for a compounding pharmacy in your area, (unless you want to drive to Smyrna. Then get your PCP to call in the prescription. Insurance does NOT pay for it, and cash price is around $275 IIRC, but it's 4 bottles that I only use maybe 1 per year. I use it locally and along my spine to block pain at the spine. The stuff doesn't reach too deep although it helps my shoulder out when it's hurting. It really knocks out pain in my hands and wrists. A friend of mine uses it for upper back and neck pain and loves it. I hope this helps, but you need to get off the NSAIDs. They are NOT doing your kidneys any good.

She was killed in a traffic accident at the age of 56. She had over 200 people show up to her wake, and I only knew a handful of them. The rest were her clients and their families.

My mother was a counselor for victims of child abuse in the Kansas City area ranging from the obscure cases to headline cases. She was a pretty tough person to listen to children tell their stories of abuse.
