If I can conceal a Walther P99 and H&K VP9 with an Alien Gear OWB, I'm sure a Glock 26 would be no problem. http://aliengearholsters.com/alien-gear-cloak-slide-owb-holster-outside-the-waistband.html

Do you think this is your last house? There is probably a difference in this formula if you think you may move, or just need a bigger house in 5-15 years.

Regulating interstate commerce is the federal governments business. There's even a clause about it in the Constitution that says so.

Stupid us, we'll still allow Carrier products to come across the border for no extra charge. Because free trade has done so much for the American worker. :shake:

I lost that one too. :( Didn't bet on it, just bragging rights. If I was voting tomorrow, possibly. If we're still going to have a Republican Congress, I'm inclined to want a Democratic President not named Hillary to avoid one party rule. I think the original M82 and it's follow on variants filled a small but relevant need for a sniper rifle that could do more than pick off personnel. It was definitely a unique approach, even if it's not really practical for dismounted sniper teams, which is where the bread and butter of the trade is. I can also appreciate that he is part of the Tennessee economy in a positive way.

NFL's Josh Morgan shoots self while cleaning gun.
btq96r replied to FortKnox's topic in General Chat
I wouldn't even call him an NFL player anymore. He was cut from the Saints final roster before the season kicked off, and no other team picked him up for even the practice squad. Even without this, he was probably done in the NFL anyway. Just hope for his sake it was an isolated incident, and not a series in a chain of screw ups. -
Ehh, least I'm on the winning side side of the ones that matter. ;)

I like the simplicity of that, and the coated magnet protecting the finish of the slide. How much does it take to get it loose? Could you get into a fender bender without it getting knocked out? This was how I approached the same question about a year ago. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/87539-vehicle-holster-concept/?hl=%2Bvehicle+%2Bholster

Is EoTech officially unrecomendable now?

Concur. It has me thinking this wasn't some random house robbery, but someone who knew the people and place, and planned accordingly? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk, because I felt that Oh Shoot wanted to know that particular bit of information.

I think New Hampshire is going Democrat again in 2016, but that's more of a hunch at this point and not based on any real data. In addition to the Presidential race, there is a very competitive Senate race where the Democrats are looking to knock off Kelly Ayotte in her first re-elect try. They Democrats are going all out to beat her, convincing the Governor to not run for her own re-election, and instead challenge Ayotte for the Senate. Plus they'll be picking a new Governor with Hassan focusing only on the Senate. Then the NH-1st will be a possible 4th time fight between two candidates who basically trade off wins depending on if it's a mid-term or Presidential election. A good bit on the line up in the Granite State, even if it gets a bit confusing with all the movements. Oh, and to make matters even more fun for the candidates and money people...the state primaries for all the offices mentioned isn't until September 13th. The place is fun to watch for a politics junkie like me.

It's all good folks, Cliven Bundy is en route. https://www.facebook.com/bundyranch/posts/960032444073564

If they had put up the triple strand concertina wire when this mess started, those generators and heaters would have gone dead long ago, and the elements would have solved this problem by now. Mollycoddling these asshats was a bad strategy.

Most certainly does. Very good breakdown, thanks.

I don't know who was in charge of everything, but what an epic fail in letting it come to a head by not just cutting the power and waiting for them to give up from hunger and the cold.

Save for ammo capacity, weight, sights, and not looking near as cool. :P

I guess having had a Barrett in the unit arms room and seeing it be little more than a four-foot long paper weight makes me kind of jaded about it. If we're seriously talking about a state firearm, it should be one that has been carried by a lot of people, or has done great things. I'm casting my ballot for the M1's or M1917's that were used in the Battle of Athens.
-
I don't get the Barrett boners. It's awesome for what it can do, but it's not a very practical weapon for anything else and the weight of it is up there. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk, because I felt that Oh Shoot wanted to know that particular bit of information.

One of these beauties could be our state gun. Easy to set up since they are all safe and on display at the TN State Museum. http://s1279.photobucket.com/user/btq96r/library/TN%20Guns?sort=3&page=1

When I went to the TN State Museum a few months ago, I took a boatload of pics of the guns displayed in the TN State Museum from the settling of the state up until sometime after the Civil War. If anything, it should be one of those classics.

Public transportation in major cities that have it serves a few useful purposes that make it worth the investment. It keeps people off the road by giving them an alternate way to get to work. Imagine if everyone who took the bus or train in NYC, Boston, and DC added to an already overcrowded commute. It helps people who can't afford a car, or would have problems with gas money when it spikes, get to work so they are actually contributing to society instead of sitting at home living only on government checks. It's helps tourism in cities that have it by giving visitors a way to get around easily. There are the carbon savings that come from keeping all those extra cars off the road, but I doubt many people on here care about that.

I love these threads. It lets me imagine some of you frothing at the mouth as you type.

This isn't a "what's best" question. There are too many variables, including how good is your eyesight. That one has probably played the biggest role for me over the years when it comes to optic selection.

I don't know if campus LEO's have the same post employment threat that other cops have, but regardless, I don't like the idea of creating a special class for the practice of a Constitutional right. No government employee or retiree should have any special exemption that the citizens don't have unless it is job related, and retirement doesn't necessarily count in my book. We know the proper answer for this, but the issue being in New Jersey, we also know how it will play out.
