  1.   That's just Darwin's consequence, I meant administrative.  Suffering one shouldn't get you off the hook for the other.
  2. If the Beretta had too long of a trigger pull in DA for them, they should have been hitting the squeeze ball to make the pimp hand strong.  There is no excuse whatsoever for an ND from someone who handles firearms for a living, and any instance should be dealt with severely.  In the Army, loosing rank, pay and pulling extra duty was pretty common...for enlisted, officers usually skated, but that didn't make it right.  Bad safety habits need consequences to produce a corrective atmosphere.
  3. No sympathy whatsoever for a company that can't exist without a firm bite on the .gov teet.
  4. WWE put this together and showed it on their PPV tonight.  Very well done and should be like memory lane for some of you older folks.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npKZ-W5pUXE
  5. The Jon Snow scene was different in the books.  Same ending, but different chain of events that brought him to it.  This was the only change in the series that I didn't think was okay as an alternate route.  That said, I think the writers sent the Red Woman to Castle Black so she can revive Jon Snow like Thoros of Myr did with Lord Beric Dondarian in Season 3.   Theon/Reek and Sansa jumped to a snowbank.  Death in GoT isn't that simple.
  6. Worst.  Excuse.  Ever.    Either their firearms safety training program is substandard, their officers adherence to firearms safety is substandard, or some combination of both.
  7.   That's lawsuit material right there.
  8.   Makes sense, as long as that style stays under the radar.   I still think the ultimate hammer yet to drop is redefining pistol as being a single shot, rotating cylinder, or slide action.  ATF has to hate anything not a traditional handgun getting away with being a pistol under the law.
  9.   How do you figure?
  10.   Even if they make those in "pistol" configuration, they would be caught up under an administrative change in the law.  Also, I don't think there would be a grandfather clause in such a change.  AR pistols would be categorized as Rifles or Any Other Weapon and there would be a grace period to submit a Form 1 or swap in a 16" or above barrel.   The NFA (1934), GCA (1968), and FOPA (1986) were all "permanent" legislation, meaning they have to be repealed by an act of Congress, or overturned by the courts.  The AWB in 1994 had a 10 year sunset provision, which was the only reason they got it added to the overall bill it was passed with.
  11. I use an H2 and Spike's T2 buffer in my two AR's.  Not sure which one I like better.  They are in carbine length gas systems; H2 in an open gas 16" and the T2 in a tuned gas 10.5".  Maybe one day I'll get an itch to swap them out and see how it feels.   Someone may come along and get über technical with things like what BCG you use, gas port size, ect...but an H2 or T2 covers all possible worlds for a carbine or mid-length system for me.
  12. I wouldn't jump in.  Unless I'm attacked, or there is a danger of serious injury/death, I'm staying out.  Yeah, the lawsuit aspect is valid, but it's really none of my business, and separating two fighting women is asking for trouble.   Besides, they both look like they can use the exercise a fight brought.
  13.   Yeah, I just gave the underhand racking a try with my Walther P99 and it wasn't happening.  Very little change that guy could do it with any random gun.  It must be specific to the style of the one he was using.
  14. I might be able to use my student account to get a look at this report without having to pay for a copy  If I can, I'll give it a look see and let you guys know if the methodology passes the sniff test.
  15. My cousin lives in Connecticut and explained the process to me...I don't remember everything, but I do remember feeling it was a very convoluted design meant to throw up every hurdle they can legally get away with, and some they are probably hoping survive court challenges.  They are also very time consuming, but can be overcome with a clean record and patience.    The limitations on what people there can have are just as bad if not worse than the permitting process.
  16. 69 years old?  He looked that old when I watched him in the 90's as a kid.  Entertaining guy, though.  Condolences to his family and friends.
  17. Thinking this was already covered, I did a search, but came up negative.   Two "ladies" got into a fight at a Walmart in Indiana, though I promise there is nothing sexy about this chick fight. I will say that the scooter bound one doesn't seem too disabled once things kick off.   https://youtu.be/0vNoR4Yb4Gc     https://youtu.be/pZkhyF1lw2s
  18. I use q-tips in the gas key all the time.  A micro screwdriver from my compuer repair tools work if someting ever gets stuck in there.
  19.   I've been shot at, come under mortar fire, driven down roads with IED's , and have been audited by the IRS...but when I see a snake, I jump on top of something or run like a complete bitch because shooting them never seems to be an option.  I'm confident in my manhood and if it wasn't for them eating disease carrying rodents, I'd want all snakes eradicated.
  20. If anybody wants to get some 30rd Scorpion mags before they're gone... http://www.gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=173&products_id=1578   Disregard, they’re already sold out.

  23. No issues whatsoever with the Troy Low Profile 173ABN helped me put on.  Put about 60 rounds downrange with it two weeks ago. https://www.primaryarms.com/Troy_Low_Profile_Gas_Block_Pro_Grade_SS_p/sgas-a4l-00bt-00.htm
  24. I'm at a loss for words with regards to how awesomely on point this post is. Hopefully it will sink in, but I'm skeptical. Regardless, well said, Hozzie.
  25.   Wait for a holiday like the 4th of July.  For Memorial day, I remember PSA had that blem lower w/ MOE furniture for about $30 or $40 less.
