My boss used to own an M82. Nice rifle. I never liked the recoil operation though. And having to break it down for storage so those 2 monster springs don't take a set and get weak. I never tried to shoot it from a standing position, but I did several times with an AR50. Ya know, just to prove to newbies that it wouldn't 'kill' them from the recoil.

Thug brings knife to gun fight: Darwin's theory proved yet again
ProfEngr replied to Pete123's topic in General Chat
I saw Darwin in the subject and first assumed it would be a D.R.T. story. -
My boss (aka company President) is more into the 'culture' than I am. If it was in the handbook, which I haven't seen anywhere in the text, he'd likely not enforce it unless forced to.

So, I wouldn't be covered (sans permit) in a company-provided vehicle if I read that correctly? I have a HCP so this is purely academic.

Owl Hollow sounds familiar, but I thought it was a range in Gadsden, AL that the local cops took over for their private use. That was where I made my last 100yd pistol shots.

I used to hit 4" cinder blocks at 100yds more than I missed. I'd take a pie plate challenge at 100yds any day of the week. CZ-52.

Carrot on a stick is what this is. It'll never make it through. sorry to be pessimistic, but that's the way I see it. Tired of being strung along over needing permission to exercise a right.

oops. wrong thread.

Well, when a 100,000+ volt transmission line drops onto a 25,000 volt residential distribution line.... Fireworks ensue.

So, box 22 on the NFA form doesn't apply in TN because of the TCIS middleman? I know GA doesn’t do NCIS for NFA if it's a trust.

When is this supposed to come up for a vote? I'm assuming since this is a legislation issue that the new guns in vehicles law w/ HCP does not trump postings at county parks?

Is it difficult to hunt with an AR pistol? (300 blackout)
ProfEngr replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Long Guns
Yeah, that was only my parsing based on past ATF idiotic behavior. -

Placing the bare buffer to your shoulder has the same connotation as doing it with a Sig brace from what I've read on this board. ATF has gone stupid(er) with the latest round of rulings. -
I've seen NSA Substation at a hotel before. And when I worked a few jobs in Auburn near the university, there was one called Ass Grabbers Faggots Fanclub. Go figure. Back then I left my highgain antenna scanning from Montgomery on the drive home. Out of 2000+ hotspots over 50% were open.

ATF raises new concerns about AR-15 ammo
ProfEngr replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Someone built a 50BMG pistol (registered as an SBR however) about 20yrs ago. I had a chance to buy it, but didn't want the hassle of a stamp. Was based on the Maadi Griffin framework. -

Saw some 308 "pistol" hardware online the other day. Wasn't long ago it was just the t/c single shots in the arena. -
So, guess this goes for the mythical CMR-30 too?

"Sporting Use" exemption.... I just threw up a little. </rant> Sorry.

I saw numbers posted around the 6k range for a week not too long ago. Even if it's not all $200 stamps or they have a slower week, thats still a big chunk of revenue for just stamping a signature on a piece of paper. Jughead, you sent me the email with the stats but I can't locate it right now. Think you can dig it up? I might have lumped form 3s in my number with 4s.

Don't disagree with you there. Only thing is they will spend scads of $ on social programs if it'll buy votes for them. If they can screw people like us, they'll gladly do that as well. How "they" spend or covet our tax $ is tied fairly tight to their left-wing agendas. Otherwise you could never make sense of it.

M855/SS109 5.56 Ban!!! AKA Green Tip
ProfEngr replied to mcordell's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Makes sense to me. They'd have to go back to press if it wasn't reversed again.
