  1. If you're not comfy with the idea of a Glock, you won't be comfy with the XDS, either.   Compact - sub compact... whichever size you shoot the best is what you should have, regardless of brand.
  2. It's my online persona. I'm really just a lighthearted, hippy-skippy razzamatazz kinda guy in real life.                 Not really. I'm more the typical music biz shoveler of :poop: .
  3. Now, THAT's funny, I don't care who ya are!
  4. Anyone can make a lemon.   Just no one makes it a federal case unless it's a Kimber. ;)
  5. I may have somewhere said that it looks interesting; can't remember. Hell gettin' older.   EDIT: Ok, lemme see... I do remember talking to Charles about it, and expressing an interest in checking it out when he gets his. Seems like, since then, maybe personal priorities have shifted a few thoughts...? Maybe...
  6. There is the old saying to beware the man with only one gun; he knows how to use it. We've all heard it, and we most likely know examples of it. That's kinda where I've been traveling toward, I think. I really would like to find that "one" that becomes such a natural extension.   Maybe I have.
  7. Well, Larry, you got me to thinking... just how curvy HAS my path been these past dozen years? I have owned 1911's (Colt's and Kimbers), revolvers (Colt's, S&W's, Rugers), S&W autos, Ruger SR9's, CZ's, H&K's, Kel-Tec's, SIG's, Springfield XD's, Tauruses (NEVER again, thankyouverymuch), Glocks (every 9mm and .45 ACP option), now Walthers... The losses I regret are few; my Colt 44 Mag... couple of Magnum Carry's... what great little .357 revos those are... first one I had, I took it out back with an old CD for a target... fired a few shots and thought, man, I can't even hit the CD at all. Went over and picked it up, and saw the hole in the center had just gotten a little bigger. Man, I do regret that one being gone. My original CZ Compact, but that regret has been fixed with an even better replacement. Why things were dumped? Personal preferences. Hate SIG's DA/SA transition; XD bore axis is stupid high... almost like you could fit an extra barrel between the trigger and existing one, lol... exaggeration... M&P's, Glock wanna-be's with more finicky parts... H&K's proprietary tendencies... wtf DOES fit that rail, anyway? My Marine's advice from boot camp (God, almost 5 years ago, now?!?) about their proper trigger technique changed a lot of things for me. Several guns that I try now, the hammer doesn't even fall before I've bottomed out my trigger finger (long and skinny) against the frame on the opposite side of the guard. Kel-Tec's, SIG's, H&K's, XD's all fall in that category for me. Bottom line is, the PPQ seems to be the perfect combination of all things necessary for ME to be the right gun for ME. Not every gun fits everybody, we all know that, and it's been a great and fun learning journey...
  8. Had to look that one up. Looks interesting; not my cup o' tea, though.
  9. I was on the CZ train years ago. Sold them when I got the Glock bug because they were just soooo heavy in comparison. Over time, I regretted getting rid of the Compact. It was, up to that time, the one gun I shot best with. Now, thanks to fate, it's been replaced, and I am most thankful. I won't let this one go.
  10. Well, if the PPQ trips continue to be like this: ... crawling back ain't happening.
  11. Maybe all these 9mm Glock mags I have nothing for...
  12. That made my nether region queasy.
  13. C'mon back and try mine!
  14. I see you don't know me. lol
  15. I have been through so many different handguns. The last 8 (?) years or so, it's just been Glock. They just made sense.   Well, the grass IS greener, and it's not necesarily over a septic tank. Between the return of the CZ 75 Compact to my stable (ah, the heft of a real gun... man, I missed that), and the light in the polymer tunnel with "Walther PPQ" on it...   There are better choices. I know; I can't even believe I'm sayin' that.
  16. I have an old pre-lock S&W 681 4" .357. Not the first gun I'd grab... but likely the last one I'd ever get rid of.
  17. Glad you enjoy it. I've just never become a "sigger." Owned several, have my son's P220 here at the house; they just don't do anything for me.
  18. Gonna be harder to buy that pot with the financial losses.   Just sayin'. ;)
  19. We need a ban on assault politicians.
  20. These guys need to have their badges melted.   With flamethrowers.   WHILE they're wearing them.
  21. We need "Magnum Force" Clint. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070355/

  23. Uh; he's 76. Or was that sarcasm?
  24. Who doesn't?
  25. I had an early one years ago. I liked it quite well.
