  1. Ok, more info. Didn't realize there were so many variables.   This is an old farmhouse. 1920's. SOME of the plumbing was replaced with PVC before we bought it. How MUCH, I have no clue. The one outside faucet seems to run fine. ALL the fixtures inside are running slower on the cold side. Toilet, showers, washer, etc. Seems like it started a while back... when I noticed it first, it was both cold AND hot. I called the water dept., and they said they were doing some work up the street, and it would be spotty for a couple days. When the pressure returned, it only came back strong on the hot. The cold has been so-so ever since.
  2. I don't know the first thing about plumbing. Here's what I THINK I know. There's ONE water line that comes in and feeds everything equally. SInce my water bill is always next to nothing, there's no leaks.   Pressure wise, the hot water will practically knock you over; but the cold has almost nothing.   How does it DO that???
  3. There is a reason that the Glock 19 is an industry standard.   Welcome to the Dark Side.
  4. I play Steel guitar and harmonica (harp) for a living.
  5. Stupid.   Me.
  6. Ok, second night was tonight. They close at 5, I went ina t 4:40 yesterday and tonight for range cleaning. Tonight, the first weirdness, lol...   A very nice deputy sheriff came in to visit another young man working. We met, and had a great time talking about various subjects. Conversation rolled around to how some of the officers can have a bit of an attitude. I related my story of getting pulled over a few years back, and he told me how the officer violated my 2nd and 4th amendment rights. He said guys like him will eventually run into someone that really knows the law and they will have a hard time.   I said, "Yeah, they'll run into Leonard."   He stared at me. Slowly, he said, "Don't... even... get me started. Leonard is my cousin. The whole family knows he's a f'n fruitcake."   I couldn't even speak...
  7. Lol... I understand. I really need the money, though. There hasn't been much work in my real field lately, and I still have to pay bills. At least it's something I'll enjoy.
  8. Guys, I am now an employee (part time; better than sitting making NOTHING!) at Sumner Gun and Supply in Gallatin. Not sure of the scheduling as yet, but I will keep you posted.   Hope when I do get the schedule squared away, some of ya will come by and say hi!

  17. Seriously, how hard IS it to unload a gun??? Geez.
  18. Nope. Snakes are on auto-death.
  19. My credo: More than 4 legs, kill it. 4 legs, it stays outside. 2 legs, ok. 1 leg, get it a wheelchair.
  20. The Dad isn't even paying attention; looks like he's loading a mag. We didn't miss anything, because there was nothing to see.
  21. Go over to Sumner Gun on the other side of the road. Great people, and shoot and sweep to your hearts' content.   I've never felt comfortable at Blue Line. Just something about them...
  22. So, I'm walking around there today with the Caracal in a futile attempt to sell it. Today was why I decided to keep it.   Literally, only ONE dealer even knew what it was. The frustrating day was full of this kind of thing:   (ala Steve Martin, Saturday Night Live): "What the hell is that?" Me: It's a Caracal. "A carry-WHAT?" Me: A Caracal. It's a 9mm pistol. "Who makes it?" Me: Caracal makes it. It's made in the United Arab Em... "AAA-rab??" Me: The United Arab Emirates. "What's it called again?" Me: The instrument of your impending death. ---------------- "Whatcha gittin' on yer Steyr?" ---------------- "What kinda Glock is that?" ---------------- "Never heard of that. Give ya $200 for it."
  23. More vendors than attendees. It was good, but man, was it slow. Too pretty a day, I suppose.
  24. Welcome, fellow Gallatian! Great place here.
