Guys, my daughter is looking for a place in Gallatin for her small, beginning family. It's her, a baby, and hubby-to-be. They are hoping to find a small place with 2-3 bedrooms that's not in a dangerous area for around $625 or so a month. Is HE really in control of what closes and what's open? I'm not really concerned with GI parts interchangeability. I mean, if it was a 70 year old gun with parts worn out and breaking that would need replacing, I would understand the need for that. I'm more concerned with reliability and function.

I've had a hankering for an M1 carbine for several years, but I know nothing about them. I know I can't afford a real deal one; and I've always heard the Universal offerings are really bad. What about the Auto-Ordinance current manufacture ones? Are they good, reliable rifles with the aura but without any hassles? Educate me, please...

I like the Gen 3 a lot. I haven't heard of the mag issues, but I can't hear everything...

Well, it's on its' way. The paper said I should receive my refund in 30 days after they receive the pistol. I'll let y'all know!

Got the UPS pre-labeled box and paper yesterday. With no receipt, they asked the dealer's contact information. Makes sense to me. They want figure including tax.   We'll see what happens...

I called them, and told them after sleeping on it, I decided to go the refund route. They are sending me a shipping box and the necessary paperwork.   I don't see how it can be design issues. I mean, it's the Steyr guy. Has to be the towelhead manufacturing.

Yeah, the current recall is for the C models. ALL of them. Guess I'll go the refund route.   Dammit.

I really, really love this pistol. It feels great, shoots superbly. Yesterday, I saw a hairline crack at the rear of the frame, in the center of the slide channel. I called Caracal, and they are sending me a shipping box. They gave me a choice between a repair, or a refund. Not sure which I should do.   Your opinions?
