  2. I would imagine at 5am, the witness pool was pretty slim.
  3. There has been very active discussion of this over on Facebook. At this point, it is still unclear. From what I've gathered, the shooter was the owner of the establishment. I did not know him or the vic, but it seems the owner is well known by a lot of players to be a hot headed dick. That's still not a fact of the shooting that has yet to be fully investigated, but it is an opinion shared by many.   A lot of folks are of the opinion that the vic was a "gentle giant." If he was indeed a giant of a man, I would imagine his presence could be determined to be threatening in a situation clouded by alcohol.   We have to wait and see.
  4. I was 8, in Catholic school in Portsmouth, VA. They had a TV in the room, and we were watching the Catholic President's trip. It was awful.
  5. Apparently, this used to be called "Polar Bear hunting" about 3 years ago. Blatantly racist blacks beating whites game.
  6. We're having one. I don't know details.

    Ruger SR 45

I've had my SR45 about... a month now? I think. First time I fired it, I put all rounds well inside a 3" circle at 25 feet. Never done that with ANY .45. It was so soft, it felt like a 9mm. I love it, and have had it on my hip every day since.   Loved it so much, I took possession of an SR9 yesterday. Took it out of the box, cleaned it, and went back to the range to try it. My goodness, what a great, accurate, easy to shoot handgun! It feels great in my hand. Ruger has made a believer out of me.   I also like the idea of having a real American made gun in my hand. Gives me an extra feeling of pride...
  8. Is it one of those "everyone should have one" guns, like a 4" .357 revolver?
  9. ... because the rifles seem to be popping up for sale all over.

  11. While I love their passion and their belief... the NRA itself doesn't agree. http://www.nrahq.org/history.asp
  12. Ouch!!! Man, that stinks... glad you're ok!
  13. Awesome, Brut. Thanks.
  14. Try a Ruger SR9C. A Glock 26 with a thumb safety.
  15. Ok, can we lock this, since it wasn't real? Sheesh...
  16. Oh, man, how awful... http://www.newslo.com/two-dead-after-3d-printer-jams-while-printing-gun/

  18. He just followed the HK brochure. ;)
  19. This.
  20. I was never really a fan, either, until my Ruger SR45. Now, it's about all I carry. Have you tried one of those?
  21. There's not a lot of markup on new guns, so the wiggle room is small. We will give 3% on a cash purchase, because there are no card fees. Shops that can buy a bunch at one time from a distributor can get a better base price, so they can wiggle a little more.
  22. Thank you, indeed, to ALL of our member vets and active service!!!  :usa:  :usa:  :usa:   And a special Semper Fi to my son...
  23. Well, there is the Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame.   Yeah, there really is one. And it is in St. Louis. And no, I've never been. It's in some hotel downtown.
  24. Anyone remember the radical "Ralph G. Briscoe" that used to be a member here? He got banned fairly quickly. He is David Hungate, former bassist for Toto, and player on a lot of country recordings. Here's what he put on Facebook:   "F-ing braindead hillbilly millionaires who will never have to worry about their families having healthcare making fun of a program that will help millions of poor people."   Talk about braindead.
