I should be able to swing by Friday on my way to a gig in Franklin. -
Well, been a while since I shouldered that Ruger. But, I don't recall doing one-hole type groups with it. I really like the Hi-Point sights. Bring the Ruger by the shop, and let's compare.

I looked up Doe Run. I found one e-mail address for an Alicia Ritter, regarding tour information. I just sent her this in an e-mail. Perhaps if she gets enough positive input from enough people, we can do something. alritter@doerun.com Ms. Ritter: This is not about a tour. This is about an idea. The facility needs 100 million to upgrade. There are enough gun owners in this country that if everyone sent in $10-20, you would have the upgrade funds in no time. I'm sure you have contact with a marketing firm that can help you pull this together in an efficient, timely, and proper manner. The EPA can go to hell. This can, and MUST, be done. I hope you seriously consider the suggestion. Kindest regards and blessings, Michael Douchette

Hey; you HAVE a GREAT 9mm carbine. I know!
-
Well, I couldn't stand it. I bought it. It's a gas. Most accurate carbine I've had yet. Go figger.
-
It kinda has a Star Trek look to it. Kinda. I'm a trekkie, and the looks don't bother me. I just hate the one 10rd mag thing. There's a note in the box that says Promag high cap mags mess with the feed ramp and void the warranty. That stinks.
-
I just couldn't do it. I really mulled it over, but decided against it. I'd like a 9mm carbine again, but guess I'll just be patient till the right one comes along.

Never had a DE, but owned two 97's. GREAT .45's, but too dang big and heavy to just have 10 rounds. Couldn't put it on my hip at all. Tried, and it just didn't make sense, so... bye, bye.

So, if I can get a TS model... the one that comes with a scope... NIB for around $280... think that would be good at this point in time? I've really been Jones'ing for a 9mm carbine... never really considered Hi Point after having two of the old style ones that weren't worth a damn. But the TS version LOOKS kinda cool... kinda.

Prayers for you both, brother. Let us know...

No, no, not THAT jerk. A REAL one. ------------------------------------- Thanksgiving Day Proclamation By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation. Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and—Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me “to recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:†Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favor, able interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquillity, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted; for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us. And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations, and beseech Him to pardon our national and other trangressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally, to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best. Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789. Go. Washington

If it was indeed a back of the head shot... I don't see how it could be "self defense." Unless Wayne had turned around to grab something to kill the other guy... but with no witness... it's all the one guys' word.

Just like used guns, there's more profit in them than new ones. Get 'em cheap, sell 'em as high as you can. Magic here is the ONLY honest guy I know of.
