  1. Lorcin is a legendary pot metal piece of garbage. Guy brought one in for us to take a look at. The slide turned into 3 pieces in Chris' hand.
  2. Joe, that's funny!! Typical picker's kid... lol
  3. I just... was doing my job. I never thought about it in those terms. Still don't...

  5. I was. I was playing steel guitar. It was us and Burt Bacharach.   At rehearsal that afternoon, while we were on stage in the lawn, the motorcade pulled up to the White House. The SS guys got out on the house side of the cars, But Reagan got out on our side, and started walking toward us. The SS guys scrambled, diving over cars and running around them to catch up with him. It was pretty funny.   As he approached the stage, the steps were on stage left, where I was the guy on the end. He came up the steps, extended his hand toward me, and said, "Hello, son, I'm Ronald Reagan." (Like I didn't know who he was!!) I stood, and stammered something like, "Mr. President, I'm Mike Douchette. It's an honor to meet you, sir." He stayed with me a few minutes, as he did with each of us, and he asked about what that was I was playing. We talked steel guitar for a brief time. He was so genuine and friendly.   I still have the Christmas cards I received every year after that.
  6. I remember this; what a great, hi point of my life. Such a gentleman... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_fTlKoQJ54#t=11

  8. KidzBop was the creation of our very own local studio guitarist, Bill Hullett. Amazing talent, super nice guy, and I'm proud to call him a friend.

No. I'll bet it would be an incredible shooter, though!
  11. What now what? This is not a surprise. We carry as we always have. This never stood a chance; too much revenue comes in from the permit process.
  12. They are small. The S&W Bodyguard is smaller, though. The trigger is a little stiffer than other Glocks; I imagine that's because they know it's going to be riding in pockets a lot, and that makes it a tad safer.   There are plans for an 8 and 10 round mag for it, too.
  13. My sha, I tell you me, de coonass cookin' is mo' gooder dan good...
  14. Bring it by sometime. I've never seen one.   Had a customer/friend bring in his 1942 Luger. He let me shoot it. One off the bucket list. It was terrific.
  15. Y'all met my buddy, Mr. hiDOLLAR? lol
  16. Got the Swiss Miss back today... and she's back to being the fire breather she was. I didn't talk with Sam, so I'm not sure what he did... but it's great!
  17. It may have been sarcasm; but my point was that, while we all know criminals disregard the law (duh), and so it's reasonable to assume that SOME felons are carrying weapons, I think it's also reasonable to assume that a measure of them that right NOW don't carry a gun because of whatever conscience they have left will feel like they have a "pass go" card.   I am not going to say crime will increase; in the other states that have this, I'm not sure there has been an increase in crime. I just think the permit process is a good move, and not 100% sure circumnavigating it is a good idea.
  18. Yes; and that is the key phrase.   I have mixed emotions about this, personally. We all know felons have access to guns if they really want to. The current permit process helps with weeding them out. If one becomes allowed to carry without any check involved, I can see where this would open the door for felons to have a way to carry. Would this open the door for police to randomly be able to stop EVERYONE they see at any time and request ID to see if they are legal or not?   I'm personally not a huge fan of open carry, however I do it from time to time. At least as it stands NOW, we "know" that anyone carrying, concealed or open, has gone through a check of some kind, and they are indeed a basic "law abiding citizen."
  19. Larry, I'll be in Thu and Fri 5-9, and Sat all day. Just fyi.
  20. Joe, yeah, I took it to him this morning.

Why does everyone hate Glock, but wanna BE Glock?
  22. No, not wrong. Just odd. NO business I know of charges MSRP on anything.
  23. I live way north of town, and have only been in EW twice, because I rarely get down there. It was nice enough, and I suppose competitively priced for its' location. The prices are higher than in other stores on the north side, but they may be a deal for folks on the south side. That would be my only complaint; just too pricey.
  24. That would require anal extraction of their heads.
