  2. Most of the time.

  4. I would hate to be in a courtroom trying to justify a 25 YARD shot with a handgun. 25 FEET... yeah. And that's what the small guns you mentioned are for. Yes, the bullet goes much farther... but my understanding is a valid self defense scenario is close up and personal.
  5. Take something big, in case you see my left-wing nutcase sister... ;)
  6. IMO... the Ruger, hands down. The trigger is SO much better than ANY Smith snubbie trigger, it's ridiculous. It's light, accurate, costs less; I wouldn't even look at a S&W after the Ruger.
  7. Saw one yesterday at Franklin Gun Shop. THEY want too much for it; that aside, the trigger was really springy, but it was ok. It did not want to go into battery, though. I showed that to the salesman, and he tried to explain it away. I told him they should get that one looked at. Something's not right.   I liked it; but not $700 worth of like.
  8. Any of our brethren here do lawn work in Gallatin? Help?
  9. SR22. (Now, I'm NOT an M&P guy. I hate all their triggers. Feels like a piece of broken plastic to me.)
  10. Perhaps we need to get back on topic, re the G 42, instead of the qualities of the round it fires...
  11. Just another nail in my coffin... lol!!! That's incredible!!
  12. Rock worked for David. ;)   I'll see your rock, and raise you a .380. ;)
  13. I always get a chuckle with this attitude; stand in front of it, Superman, if you think it ain't gonna work on you.  :screwy:
  14. The odd part, I was NEVER a .380 fan. At all. And with the difficulty of getting it to compound matters... I really see no point in the pistol. But, it was more comfortable than I expected.
  15. Well, I had the opportunity to shoot one yesterday. After two mags of "new gun problems," it ran like a champ, and really felt good. Very accurate. Can't believe it actually made me think I might want one...
  16. Foster Brooks; way ahead of his time.
  17. After running nothing but Windows from 3.1 on... it took me about 5 minutes to adjust. It's not as scary as folks think.
  18. Check MAC Authority off Wedgewood.
  19. Get a refurbished MAC. Costs less than new, and still better than a PC.
  20. Thank goodness for TICS.
  21. I just talked with Vince. He's doing great.
  22. Generally crap. A plastic Lorcin. Stay away.
  23. No, it isn't. Someone with money could turn it into a stunning Bed and Breakfast place. I'm just broke.
  24. They ARE friendly; both of them. And they eat nothing. Really. ;)
  25. I live 2 miles from Hoeganes.   Wanna buy a $300,000 fixer upper? 5500 sq ft, 3 1/2 acres of 1800's - 1920's charm. Carriage house, slave house, smoke house... I just ran out of money, and can't do it anymore at my age. High ceilings, huge rooms... just spent 30K on exterior. Looks gorgeous.
