  1. Why are 9mm versions of weapons more expensive? Seems crazy to me.
  2. Sonny, set them up on their slides, grips up, next to each other. You'll see how much shorter the 17 is. It's definitely Commander size, NOT full size 1911.
  3. Must be a really small frame guy. TOTALLY unlike you and me.
  4. "Giant sized Commander?"   Wow. Ok, then... :squint:
  5. I am like you. My 75 Compact is easily the most accurate gun I own. It is the most natural pointer. I got rid of my Glock 19's because the CZ is so much better. Yes, it's heavier, and it was harder to find a holster. It just amazes me every time I shoot it. I'm wanting a full size now to compliment it.   I don't care for their polymer offerings. They just don't feel as good, to me.
  6. Barrel also seems to try to remove itself during shooting. I've had it come back from a range trip with a loose barrel many times.
  7. NOW we're talkin'! Yessir!
  8. These are heavy; they also require an optic. Only has a rail, no irons. My Ruger PC9 that hipower now has is an excellent, albeit discontinued, pcc.
  9. I am soooooo ready for them to do a SR45 compact...
  10. I knew it... lol
  11. Yeah, I would say if one could conceal a 1911, the 17 would be a breeze.
  12. Ok, so I was bored at the shop tonight; not a lot happening. I decided to grab a couple guns for size comparison. This is probably NOT a revelation to anyone here, but I was surprised to see that a Glock 17 is basically identical to a 1911 Commander. I would have thought it was the 19. THAT is like an Officer's. The 34 that looks sooooo long is actually the same size as a full size 1911.   So, if the Commander is considered the "perfect" carry package in a 1911, it would seem to me that the G17 would be the "perfect" Glock, and NOT the 19.   Thoughts?
  13. If you don't, I'll take it. I love mine; one of the most accurate, easy to shoot .45's I've ever had. Light enough to carry all day with no fatigue, too. That's a screaming deal on it.
  14. This was it. http://www.taurususa.com/product-details.cfm?id=233&category=Revolver&toggle=tr&breadcrumbseries=RB2
  15. Been a while since I did a 500... but as best I can recall, yes. This was worse. Perhaps it being a lightweight Taurus had a great deal to do with that.
  16. Firebreathers are fine. Handbreakers, not so much.
  17. It was a bud's Taurus revolver. One of those, "Oh, it's a light load, you'll be fine" jokes. Bastid.
  18. Yesterday.   Once.   THAT won't happen again.
  19. If you have to ask... ;)
  20. My buddy, Butch, came in. He's the prez of the Gallatin Gun Club. He had a TALO Ruger SR9c that he just happened to want to get rid of at a very reasonable price... SCORE!!!
  21. Well... ain't either one gonna happen... because something walked in the shop tonight that I just could NOT turn down... and I am one extremely happy camper... even if kinda broke again...
  22. Harharhar... youse guys are a f'n riot...
