  1. Well, duh! I'm a musician, you're NOT! LOL... Seriously, what I needed to do was give a push in to the dc at the same time as the round blocker. That freed it where the tab moved forward...
  2. What? This isn't Tennessee Groping Oldies?
  3. Yeah... kinda like women never looked at me till I got married...
  4. Guess I just wasn't holding my mouth right. Stuck my tongue out the right side this morning, and the tab moved and I got the dc out... sheesh.
  5. See, the rub is there. The tab won't move forward (toward the chamber). It only moves rearward (toward the plate). ?
  6. Ok, I'm just an idiot. Chip, bring stuff Saturday... I'll buy you breakfast at Hardee's or somethin'...
  7. ck... I just noticed we're both in Gallatin! Wanna meet somewhere?
  8. The tab only moves backward toward the plate, not forward...
  9. How many hands does this take? I can't figure this out. It looks like I have to push down the striker blocker, press somewhere at the metal tab near the striker, stick a paper clip in the back, and push down on the back plate all at the same time! It ain't working for me...
  10. Can you be more specific with a link? That search yields 77 pages...
  11. THE ECONOMIC CRISIS IS SIMPLE... JUST READ THE SOLUTION BELOW... SHALL WE START TOMORROW? AND WE ALL LIVE HAPPILY THEREAFTER... When a company falls on difficult times, one of the things that seems to happen are they reduce their staff and workers. The remaining workers need to find ways to continue to do a good job or risk that their job would be eliminated as well. Wall street, and the media normally congratulate the CEO for making this type of "tough decision," and his board of directors gives him a big bonus. I feel our government should not be immune from similar risks. I therefore am recommending the following cuts to be implemented by the next president elect. Reduce the House of Representatives from the current 435 members to 218 members and Senate members from 100 to 50 (one per State). Also reduce remaining staff by 25%. Accomplish this over the next 8 years. (two steps / two elections) and of course this would require some redistricting. Some yearly monetary gains include: $44,108,400 for elimination of base pay for congress. (267 members X $165,200 pay / member / yr.) $97,175,000 for elimination of the above people's staff. (estimate $1.3 Mil in staff per each member of the House, and $3 Mil in staff per each member of the Senate every year) $240,294 for the reduction in remaining staff by 25%. $7,500,000,000 reduction in pork barrel ear-marks each year. (those members who's jobs are gone. Current estimates for total government pork earmarks are at $15 Billion / yr) The remaining representatives would need to work smarter and would need to improve efficiencies. It might even be in their best interests to work together for the good of our country? We may also expect that smaller committees might lead to a more efficient resolution of issues as well. It might even be easier to keep track of what your representative is doing. Congress has more tools available to do their jobs than it had back in 1911 when the current number of representatives was established. (telephone, computers, cell phones to name a few) Note: Congress did not hesitate to jump on a train for home this week when it was a holiday, when the nation needed a real fix to the economic problems. Also, we have 3 senators that have not been doing their jobs for the past 18+ months (on the campaign trail) and still they all have been accepting full pay. These facts alone support a reduction in senators & congress. Summary of opportunity: $ 44,108,400 reduction of congress members. $282,100,000 for elimination of the reduced house member staff. $150,000,000 for elimination of reduced senate member staff. $ 59,675,000 for 25% reduction of staff for remaining house members. $ 37,500,000 for 25% reduction of staff for remaining senate members. $ 7,500,000,000 reduction in pork added to bills by the reduction of congress members. $ 8,073,383,400 per year, estimated total savings. Big business does these types of cuts all the time.IF you are happy with how our government is right now, just ignore this message. IF you are not happy, I assume you know what to do.WONDER IF CONGRESS WILL BE GETTING THEIR 5,000.00 OR SO RAISE THIS YEAR.....THEY SHOULD GIVE IT TOWARD THE ECONOMY OR SS PLAN FOR GOOD FAITH AND TO SHOW THEY CARE.....YEA RIGHT !!!!!
  12. Comp-Tac makes kydex for the SR9, I'm waiting for one to show up now. Great pistol!
  13. Trust me, it's all common sense. Pay attention to the movie, answer the questions, and shoot the B-27 all in the black with your 50 rounds from 3yds, 7 yds, and 15 yds. You'll do fine.

I need to talk with a lawyer, non-firearm related stuff... family stuff...

    Sig P220's?

This is what aggravates me. SIG's are great, I've had a few. They just don't work for ME. I wish they did... there are others that do, though, so it's ok...
  16. Wow. An RIA, for $200 more. Hmmm...
  17. Yesterday, when it was really windy, I was heading back to Gallatin. Came to the intersection at Station Camp where there's a camera. The lights were horizontal in the wind, I was doing the posted 50 mph. When they came down to where I could see them, they were yellow. I slammed on my brakes to try to stop, but no good. Van was just too heavy, and I rolled through, going off the road on to the shoulder. No doubt it took my picture "running" a red light. Should I go to court when I get the ticket and fight, or just pay the fine and forget it?
  18. Comp-Tac paddle. Because when I have to remove it, it's easy. When it's on, it's secure.

    SR9 trigger

Anyone know, since the Ruger SR9 trigger is so Glock-ish... will the Ghost trigger fit?
  20. Women are not mechanics. This is why. http://s117.photobucket.com/albums/o54/Steelharp/Mechanic/
  21. Love that Glock slide! That should be an option...

    Kahr P380

    Get a SIG P 230... THE .380.
  23. Is there anything more important, as far as accuracy is concerned?
  24. I've never understood the "required upgrade" deal. I don't have a problem with the regular sights, though. I see "requirements" as things that are necessary to make it function properly if it has a problem in that area. If it goes bang every time, and hits POA, I don't think it "requires" anything. MHO...
  25. "The Emperor has no shirt!" Neither does this thread...?
