(I get a lot of emails but this one makes more sense than any I've read in a long time.) "In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is a congress." ---John Adams. I am posting this for all my friends; that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between. Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends. This is to promote a "Congressional Reform Act of 2010." It would contain eight provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I know many of you will say, "this is impossible." Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval of any entity in Government, now is the time when Americans can join together to reform Congress - the entity that "represents" us. We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the U.S. Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the U.S. House. These people will become American hero's. Thanks, A Fellow American ------------------------------------------ Congressional Reform Act of 2010 1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below. A. Two Six year Senate terms B. Six Two year House terms C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms (Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.) 2. No Tenure / No Pension: A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office. (Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.) 3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security: All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people. (Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.) 4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans. (Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.) 5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. (Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.) 6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. (Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.) 7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people. (Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.) 8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/2011. The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. (Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.) Wake up America. If you agree with the above, pass it on to all. If not, just ignore it.

I'd love to try one. I'd bet it would be great. (Not $800 great, but great.)

Which begs the question, how would one even acquire an HCP in any state if the ramifications are that severe?

No permit for me because of OTH discharge???

Incorrect behavior sucks. Consequences are what you get. Reference kwik... -
I had a Wilson KZ Compact .45. Worst pos I ever owned. Never again will I fall for the high dollar hype. The RIA I sold was one of the best 1911's I ever had.

Well, with the barrel at the bottom... it's right in line with your shooting hand... I'll bet recoil is very manageable, practically nil...

Everyone has wished that forever; except Gaston. He even had to make the .GAP round... like he invented bullets or something...

Yes, she is. In the habit of eating once a day, has a cage that my son let her sleep in. She is NOT a layaround dog; full of energy and love.
-
No; it needs to be someone's hunting companion. Life cooped up in a kid's apartment isn't fair to this dog.

He took one dog and cat with him; Lady Belle just couldn't fit in the small car.

One of my sons is moving to FL. He has a gorgeous female beagle that is not going and needs a home. (We have two dogs already, and just can't.) Her name is Lady Belle, she's 3 years old, very lively and playful. We are in Gallatin; free to anyone that will give her a loving home.

A Goodlettsville officer at my church is one. pm me your number, and when I see him Wednesday night, I'll pass it along. He made my 220 trigger incredible. Don't know if he'd just do it for anyone, but it can't hurt to ask.

I must be dumber than a rock... is there supposed to be an image up there of something... or just a whole bunch of blank space... which is what I have?

Chris, I received this from one gent: "A very expensive toy, with expensive ammo. It has about the same ballistics of a 270 Winchester at 200 yards. A 308 on the AR platform is more sensible, easier to feed and reload for, and monumentally more efficient." What say ye?

Guys, my son is very interested in a Barrett Rec 7 6.8. He would like to hear from any of you guys that have any experience with them. Reliability, any personal pros or cons... anything. Thanks in advance.

Merry Christmas to all...

So, Mikey is home for Christmas; yes, we are thrilled. We went to CiCI's yesterday here in Gallatin. After we ate, he looked in the game room to see if some shooting game was still there. It was, and he says, "Dad, c'mon, I want you to see this!" He puts two tokens in some game with a plastic P220-ish handgun attached, and it goes through a short intro movie. He's just talking to me, telling me about it, telling me he might be a little rusty... then the "OK" sign comes up to start, and he offhands a shot at it... then, my boy disappears. I watch the screen, and if a baddie so much as sticks out half a head, bang, he's dead. They're coming from everywhere, and Mikey... never misses. One shot, one gone. I stop watching the game, and look at him. This aggressive stance, the precision of movement and target acquisition... he's a machine himself. When the game is over (I don't remember how far he got on that 50 cents), he just turns to me and smiles... and Mikey's back. I was just amazed...

There's a thread on here, I searched, but no patience to go through all the threads... regarding his carrying a G19...

Worst ever for me... years ago, a BHP Practical I had at the time actually fell out of my IWB holster as I got out of the car at Wal-Mart... and I kicked it as I stepped... and it just went sailing into the traffic lane... late night, no cars coming... switched to OWB with Comp-Tac paddles after that. No problems since...

But... Vickers carries a Glock... I'm just sayin'...

Am I the only person that remembers CTD ripping us all off?

This for that, tit for tat... exactly what is a tat, where do I find one, and how do I trade it for the other thing? -

I've never ordered anything from them. I continue that policy -
Well, that's debatable, really. The Glock does have it's own distinctive look that's readily identifiable... it's not "classic" in the classy sense, but it did set a different standard.
