  1. Olds, thanks for that map! Cool! And, yes, this is a tiny fish... agreed.
  2. Krull, are you an enumerator? Where are you getting your info?
  3. We have daily meetings, and something changes every day. Common sense is just now starting to creep in. I've heard that fine move all over the place. Who knows what it really will be? And I got news for ya; it doesn't pay no $17 an hour. That's a crock.
  4. Well, apparently they made a mistake in training. It happens. Thanks.
  5. Races asked for are: White Black, African American, or Negro American Indian or Alaskan Native Asian Indian Chinese Filipino Japanese Korean Vietnamese Native Hawaiian Guamanian or Chamorro Samoan Some Other Race "Rude N Word?" Where?? Depending on the age of the respondent, older black people still call themselves Negroes. In another 20 years, that might be removed. Look, I could care less; it's a gig, it pays, and some folks are going to be upset, and others aren't. Whatever floats yer boat... now, let's all put our diversity rainbow caps on and smile!!!! YooHooooooooooooo...
  6. Olds, no point to sending it in. If you haven't sent it, you're already on someone's visit list. All the info they ask for is available through the tax assessor's office; however, by law, the Census bureau is a separate entity, and cannot collect information from any other agency. Conversely, they cannot give the information to any other agency, by law. Yes, I realize census info was used in WWII; that was an exceptional situation, and not the norm. Wartime changes things. You can refuse to answer any question you wish. It will be noted on your form, and it will be reassigned to another enumerator, and you'll get a knock again. Nothing is asked about SS#'s, accounts, etc. Simply names, sex, ages, race, and if you own/rent. What about that raises the hackles? There won't be any prosecution; just up to a $5,000 fine.
  7. It's not the Government; it's the Constitution. Your problem with that is...? Article 1. Section 1 All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. Section 2 The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature. No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen. Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.
  8. Guys, c'mon; it's 7-10 stinkin' questions. It's NOTHING compared to 2000 when I did it. Back then, it was SO invasive, I wouldn't even ask some of the questions. If you'll check census' taken back in the earlier part of the 1900's (now that they're available), those folks had to fill out a friggin' bookfull of information; and they didn't mind. Stop the chest thumpin'; you look ridiculous.
  9. Uh... I'm an enumerator, and I haven't seen this at all.
  10. Neither one of you asked him what he wants to sell? I'm disappointed in youse guys...
  11. Congrats, and tell him thanks for what he does!!

To me, those images don't look quite real. They look like CGI.
  13. First, we whine because 1911's made in America are expensive. Then, we whine because the foreign ones are affordable, why can't an American builder do that. Then, we finally get an American built 1911, at the price we've been looking for... ... and we still find something to whine about.
  14. Unleashed: German man marries his dying cat - A blog for animal lovers on pets, dogs, cats, shelters and animal rescue - baltimoresun.com That's truly just doing it for p\_/$$y.

    Remington 1911 R1

And that's what I love about it; it looks like it should, to me, instead of chopped and decked out. That's just me, though. It has the only thing that I think the original needed; better sights. I like the original style thumb safety, and everything about the gun.

I had really lost my 1911 bone; I really had. Had no desire to own another one... none. Got over it. Moved on. Desire quelled. Satisfied completely with my later choices in handguns. Yessiree, no more 1911's for me. Outdated, antiquated... much better choices now... much more practical... leave 'em for the fan boys. Really. I was the guy now. Beyond all that silly JMB worship.:wall:
  18. Any given turd can float to the top once in a while.
  19. Nah; just more made up and phony. I like 'em real...
  20. Your XD will still be your main carry, go to gun. The 1911 will be a perfect addition. Think of it as marrying Mary Ann, but having a fling with Ginger.
  21. We just keep (most) of the a$$wipes in chains.
  22. WOW! Doesn't 10mm slap you in the forehead, though?
  23. Those all look pretty dang effective to me!
