  1. FWIW, I said LCR, not LCP. For me, the revolver was the better choice. YMMV.
  2. Don't give up on the pocket rocket. Ruger LCR is the way to go.
  3. I can't believe anyone actually takes them apart. All I've ever done to mine is run a bore snake through it, and clean the area I can get to with the bolt open. Runs like a champ.
  4. Haven't read a "disgruntled employee" story in a while; this might be page 1 of a new one. I would stay aware. Re: "Brandishing;" when I took my course (Glockmeister), I asked him about brandishing, and what would define that with my HCP. He picked up the blue plastic training Glock and stuck it in my face. lol... He explained to me that I could carry the gun in my hand if I wanted to, as long as it stayed pointing toward the ground. He also advised that wouldn't be intelligent, but it would be legal. Without an HCP, brandishing is ANY visible presence.
  5. If you can call a band with "Smiley" Roberts on steel musical... :D JK, he's an old friend, great player... excellent band.
  6. Just sounds like the car business, to me.
  7. cheez... link to your avatar's original poster? I gotta have that! [end/hijack]
  8. Looks like if we were the ONLY ones voting, RR would be a shoo-in...
  9. What about this? GLOCK Crap; says LE and Gubmint agency sales only. WTF?
  10. Congrats! But be careful; there's teeth up there! (Trust me, I know... )
  11. Colt: S/N 2,244,804 to 2,380,013 = 1945. You have a WWII era 1911a1. Should have a short trigger and a rounded mainspring housing. If it is unaltered, original finish, could be anywhere from $1500 up. IIRC, the slide should have more dates on it if it was the original slide to the gun. But they were designed to be broken down, thrown in a cleaning vat as a bunch of parts, and just pulled out and put back together. Could have been swapped during that process in the war. If it IS a mix, worth less. Enjoy it! Just looked it up; your numbers are correct. My memory failed me; what a surprise. Correct slide markings; congrats!)
  12. If you hear YOUR address come over it... GET OUT!!!!!!!!
  13. So I need to burn up to Scottsville. Hmmm...
  14. Kevo, for MY hand... I can't even drop the hammer on the KT/Rugers. My finger hits my hand on the left side of the grip before the hammer falls; so those are useless to me. My .380 of choice is my SIG P230. It's old, and it eats anything with no issues, and is dead accurate. Why they quit making them... ?
  15. Gallatin, on 109... Jacky Billy's Bar Be Que Junction... best catfish (beans, potato salad, everything) ever...
  16. Just shows how effective Wamp is at blowing smoke up skirts.
  17. OS: try to refrain from picking on those that like their DB's. Their senses of humor appear to be limited, in my experience.
  18. So, can WE get discounts on S&W stuff?

Does it HAVE to be a 1911? If not, a SIG P220 is awesome...
  20. It was, indeed, an attempt to be humorous. Apparently, you don't see it, so I will edit the above post. Enjoy your DB.
  21. Anyone else notice that every candidate's flyer/mailout, etc. has them with either a firearm or well worn target? Maybe we're more important than I think we are...
  22. Some people... somewhere... love them, I guess... after seeing the reports here, though...
  23. I hold every gun like that pic, only my left hand thumb is just behind the knuckle of my right thumb, not as far back as in the pic. No slide issues, no burned thumb issues, same grip every time, natural and accurate (for me).
