  1. Sure would like to have that finish on one, without all the bling...
  2. His "area" is Murfreesboro.
  3. I know. I just stood behind him and watched him do it. I was thinking, "Guess that's how he managed to place 14 out of 262 guys at LeJeune." Can't help but wonder what the # 1 guy must have done!
  4. Damn you. Signed, Kwik
  5. And the answer is... the G36. This pic shows my "T box" on the right... but that little orange dot on the left target? That's my son... two mags... that's 12 rounds... at 15 yards... he just looked at it, then me, and went, "Hmm. I like this more than I thought I would." I guess so! (BTW, his second best was the H&K; he loved it. His 7 rd "familiarization drill" removed the "X" from the center completely.)
  6. And sometimes you just know you didn't...
  7. I would say you got a great deal...
  8. Went shooting today at the new G&L in H'ville. Very nice, we had a blast... so to speak... We took 4 handguns; in alphabetical order, his 1970 Colt Combat Commander, my Glock 17 and 36, and his H&K P2000 9mm, v3. So, we had two 9's and 2 .45's. Needless to say, my triple expert Marine shot them all well, but we both did best with the same one. (He even told me, "Wow, Dad, that's a perfect T-Box group. You can't do better than that!" I was pretty happy about that; he did so well at LeJeune, they made him a coach for that week.) So, which one of the four do you think we did so well with?
  9. So sorry. Lost mine in '07. Makes life very different...
  10. Crap...! That's astounding...

Ooo, ahh... olegvolk: Kel-tec RMR30 carbine
  12. For the same reason the people driving in front of me at 65 mph in a 65 mph posted zone slam to 45 when they see a police car...
  13. I got a rock...
  14. ....
  15. So, today, we shoot just a little; going to go next week for a few hours... and he shows me the SRT (Special Response Team) shooting method... Boys, our Marines are shooting straight thug style; yes, homeboy sights method. I couldn't believe it. He said they do that because it's much easier to see what causes a malfunction, if one happens. That's why they do it. All of a sudden, the "gangsta grip" doesn't sound so stupid...
  16. Nice ADDition. Can't go wrong with a SIG...
  17. I was told on another board that some have been dishonorably discharged, even after 20+ years, just because they were gay, and this will now stop. I need to find out if there is ANY real world advantage to this. So far, I find nothing.
  18. Does anyone know what particular advantage(s) come from this? How does it matter, really?
  19. I've been done for months. (Not hard when you don't have the extra money.)
  20. And now the SIG bashing will begin...
  21. My NSG is the full size version of my compact EDC... so, it's practically the same gun.
  22. It's a perfect facility for a good show. Shame this wasn't it.
  23. For range, do whatever you want. EDC? Night sights, and leave the rest as is.
  24. $10; I felt so sorry for them when I got to the door, I paid it... looked at the 20 or so shottys, the 10 or so handguns, the AR, the mini 14, and left...
  25. Don't bother. Waste of time. 5-6 tables, maybe.
