  1. Man, I am really diggin' that, after watching the vids. My concern with the Kel-Tecs has always been their warning about barrel life. Looks like this doesn't have that as an issue...
  2. That is waaaaaaay too cool...
  3. I still wanna know how it works.
  4. It seems I've managed to quit three things in my life completely, only one by choice; drinking, making money, and fv(king.
  5. I realize there are two inflections for "I don't believe it." One would be calling you a liar; not the one I meant. I meant the other, as in my disbelief of my own situation compared to yours. Sorry for the confusion.
  6. I'm thinkin' that the problem might not be here. If you knowhutImean, Vern...
  7. I've reached the age where I'm actually flattered by it.
  8. buttonhook; having had time to read all this thread now, I just want to say kudos, and my hats' off to you. People like you should be the example for teachers. Your selflessness is an awesome gift. God bless you.
  9. I don't believe it. I got two from two separate dealers the same day, and at the second one, they called the dealer and had him ask me some questions.
  10. So RIA is importing them now, eh? Hope that's helped their quality, somehow. I had a .45 version; it was awful. The front of the slide would hang up on the guide rod with every shot.
  11. Oh, c'mon. Gun guys NEVER do that...
  12. That looks rather... fascinating... but that muzzle looks like a shotgun... and the SIG still has the slide on it... is it like shooting your pistol through a paper towel core??
  13. Absolutely true. But don't think your name won't go on a "list," either.
  14. Any caliber you shoot well is effective, because it is about placement and penetration. The shooting well part is the key. "It's hard to argue with a .22 to the tear duct."

    New gun purchase

You're in H'ville; go by G&L and look in the "used" counters. They had quite a selection when I stopped in last night.
  16. After 7 kids, it's easy.
  17. buttonhook... make me feel a little better. Tell me your subjects are not English, grammar, spelling, or punctuation.
  18. I could barely deal with my own 7, thankyouverymuch.
  19. While I agree with everything said here in the thread, I think we have to be careful about misreading what's in that link, and allowing it to get twisted anymore than we would want anything we say twisted. Reading comprehension is so important. It says, “Despite what some among us would like to believe it is not because of our creative ideas. It is not because of the merit of our positions. It is not because we care about children and it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power.” Now, let me try to clarify the points with a bit of inserted text: “Despite what some among us would like to believe it is not because of our creative ideas (that we are effective advocates). It is not because of the merit of our positions (that we are effective advocates). It is not because we care about children (that we are effective advocates) and it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child (that we are effective advocates). NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power.”
  20. The short one.

    Remington 1911 R1

Plainsman, IF you were talking to spoolie (not sure without quotes), I believe it's because he changed the parts out on his particular guns.
  22. I just really hope a win for him actually turns into a win for all of us.
  23. Anyone called about that G17?
  24. Mapco. Back yard, really.
